narrator's note;;
Vanity Scare
I talk in riddles forth and back
For I am the narrator, please keep track
I am here to set a couple of things straight
So please don’t be confused as I elaborate.
This is a story of two people’s intertwined but unwinding fate
Be sure to note the mirror’s plague is naught but straight
It performs a duty to us all
It shows pure honesty for those who fall
For the deceptive tricks of the mind
Who may after all, be guilty of crime.
What people do and what people say
Is not, sometimes, what they want to relay
But what can we do when they themselves do not know
The true, deep-down feelings that they hold?
Even if the mind tricks us
The mirror will not
For the mind has twists and turns
That the mirror haven’t got.
Yet please hold caution for I don’t not mean physically
Mirrors reflect much more than the aesthetic beauty
But it reflects the heart as well
