Working till one in themorning without the effects of alcohol taking place, Hyorin had found herself growing queasy and light-headed. Claiming herself to be a 'heavy drinker' was no longer true since it had been years since she or Bora had chugged all those hard liquors once at a college party years ago. Suddenly, an ear-piercing knock snapped through the silence of her apartment, startling her out of her thoughts. Another knock came and Hyorin found herself growing agitated as the sounds echoed inside of her head

"Hold on!" she yelled out, bringing her fingers to her temples to massage. Just talking alone was causing her head to ache even further. Slowly, she lifted herself up from the couch as she struggled to get to the door. Pulling it open slowly, she was met with the one person she wasn't expecting to come see her.

"Morning," Kyuhyun greeted as he held up a drink carrier of coffee. Scoffing in return, she clenched her teeth in order to hold back a few curse words. He would probably hold it again you if you act out now.

"How did you know I live here?" She queried quietly, her voice barely above a whisper.

"Well there's such thing as an employee records," Kyuhyun pointed out without failing to add his accomplice. "And Soyu-yah told me." Shrugging as if it was the tiniest of worries in the world, a smile cracked out on his face as she continued to glare at him.

"Does she tell you everything?" 

"No everything, just what I ask of her." Allowing the arm that was currently carrying the drink carrier to rest back by his side, Kyuhyun cocked an eyebrow as the next question fell out of his mouth, "may I come in?" Of course, if this was any other day, Hyorin would have probably never answered the door but the circumstances being as they were at the current moment, she had no choice. Stepping back, she allowed him to enter as she gathered the little bit of sobriety she had left to calm herself down meanwhile, Kyuhyun busied himself by studying the apartment's decor, "cozy," he commented.

"Thanks? I had a much smaller apartment in Thailand so I didn't have much to bring back as you can see."

"No need to explain yourself." He assured, "I'm here to take care of your hangover, not learn about your life in Thailand." This caught her attention as she gawked at him in surprise. Was Cho Kyuhyun a psychic of some sort?

"Did Soyu tell you that too?"

"No, I can see it on your face as we speak. You've been squinting the entire time." Setting the carrier down on the table, he discarded one of the cups from it. Pressing his thumb through the drinking hole, he allowed the steam to filter out before walking over and holding it up to her. "Also, I'm the one who brought you home last night so if you cooperate, it'll make things ten times easier for the both of us."

Heeding to his advice, Hyorin took a cautionary sip of the hot beverage to test just how boiling the temperate of it was. Satisfied that it wouldn't burn her tongue, she began to gulp down the liquid as if it was water. As the coffee washed down , she began to feel relief as the ache in head subsided a bit. Shifting her eyes upwards, she caught sight of Kyuhyun watching as he stared down at her lips. Embarrassed by what she had just witnessed, Hyorin took a much large gulp of coffee then intended which resulted in her choking. Spitting up the contents, Hyorin continued to clear as she gasped for oxygen. You've made yourself look like an idiot and in front of him of all people! He's the one who calls you stupid and now you're proving him right.

Pushing the cup out of her way, Hyorin slid the back of her hand across her lips as she continued to scold herself, "you missed some." He interrupted as his fingertips slid across her lips, "right here too." He delicately slid the pad of his thumb across her chin, his face scrunched up in concentration. "Why would you chug down coffee like that? Are you foolish?"

"How long will it take you to realize that I'm not actually stupid?" Hyorin retaliated as she shifted from his reach. "I graduated college, the same one you attended. I even work in the same company as you. We're basically on the same level."

"I'll acknowledge it when you stop doing stupid things."

Giving up on the pointless argument that was taking place, Hyorin waved him away with her hands as she tried to think straight, "by the way, what time is it?"

"It's nine-fifteen in the morning." He replied while glancing down at his wrist watch. 

"Nine-fifteen? I'm late? Why didn't you tell me sooner!" Snatching the cup of coffee from his hands, Hyorin bounced down the hallway and into her room as her eyes skimmed the articles of clothing in her closet. "Please work, coffee. Jebal, work!" She pleaded as she took another sip. She needed this to work, she needed it to work badly. And as she fought to ready herself presentable, Kyuhyun made himself comfortable in the living room as he chuckled to himself silently.

Kim Hyorin was just that fun to tease.

"I'm so sorry. Please forgive me for my tardiness." Hyorin apologized as she bowed a perfect ninety-degrees to her boss. The man waved his hand in the air as a grin presented itself on his chubby face.

"Don't worry about Miss Kim. Mr. Cho had already explained to me that you weren't feeling well this morning." He chuckled at this as if Kyuhyun had shared the funniest joke ever, "you're doing a great job here, keep it up and don't be too hard on yourself." Stepping back, Hyorin allowed the elevator doors to come between them as she stood stunned in silence. If she had ever been this late to her job back in Thailand, she would have been shunned for sure but then again, this wasn't Thailand. This was home. In Korea. In Seoul.

On the way over to the office that Hyorin shared with Soyu, she couldn't help but to pass by Kyuhyun's. He had already gone ahead when she felt the need to stay behind to apologize to their boss. He was in the midst of reading a document on his computer when Hyorin's light knocks resonated throughout the room. Looking up for a second and then back to the screen, Hyorin interpret this as sign to enter.

"Mr. Cho," the formality coming as naturally as if it was his first. "Thank you for saving me." Nodding his head in return, he allowed a small smile to show through as his eyes continued to dart across the screen. Exiting just as easy as she came, Hyorin took off down the hallway as the humming in her ears increased.
