The effect of the chloroform must be starting to wear off as I slowly resurface back into consciousness with my painful intake of mote-filled air. I fight off the dizziness that is trying to succumb me into another slumber. I try to take deep breaths to fill my system with oxygen. My sight is completely blocked with the use of a cloth while both my wrist and ankles are tightly bound with strings that dig through my skin. I am lying on a moth-eaten bed that smells horribly disgusting and filled with specks of dusts that stick to the exposed part of my skin. I try to sit up. I start to panic again while images of previous events flood my now fully awake subconscious. I was kidnapped.

Whimpering is impossible for me because of yet another piece of cloth around my mouth. I refuse to give in to fear but my heart is hammering in my chest and tears roll down my face. My whole body shakes with the impending doom that rest upon me. I fear for my life. The strings appear to be knotted securely because my slightest struggle makes me wince from pain of raw skin cut opened. Breaking-free is futile. I cried more. My mind is pessimistly filled with all the worst case scenarios. I am scared to face death with such a tender age.
