Young Yoona lay in bed frightened by the scene unraveling just outside of her dark room.

"Where have you been?" Yoona could hear the anger seeping out of her mother's lips.

"What's it to you?" Her father spat back in a drunk manner. 

It was always like this when Yoona's father had one too many and it didn't help when she had a mother with too many loose screws to count. It didn’t take long before her dad had overpowered her mom.

Senseless beatings and angry yells, Yoona had witnessed them all and through them all she kept her silence.
