“Hyung, what are you doing here ?”

“Daehyun ?”the stranger looked at Daehyun surprisingly before letting out a sigh “Daehyun, we need to talk. I’m here for a reason.” His face saddened. The others watched Daehyun then Yongguk, confused, but there was something more worry and panic on Jongup’s expression.

“You know him ?” asked Himchan.

“Ah. Sorry. Daehyun and I are acquaintance” Yongguk smiled “I moved here lately and I’ll study with him.”

“Hyung, you’re senior already” Daehyun mumbled, loud enough for everyone there to hear. “There’s no need to move here and just study for only 1 year. What’s the point ?”

“Daehyun-“

“Let it go” Jongup interrupted “Classes are about to start. Yongguk hyung, you should prepare yourself for the class too, right ?”

Himchan and Yongguk their heels and continued the way to the principal office while Daehyun stood still and stared blankly into the air like he was thinking something very complicate. Jongup dragged Daehyun along after whispering to Junhong’s ear “See you later”.

“Hyung… Is he your parents’s bodyguard ?”

Youngjae mindlessly clicked the pen's tip on the table while his chin rest on his one palm, his eyes fixed on the chemistry teacher with no sign of him that he's even care about the lecture – he had already studied this lecture before, though it belonged to upper class’s lession. He assumed that his brain was sensible and he always prouded of this, like… Alright, to the main point here. Today Daehyun unbelievable had nothing done to him. Totally none. No cleaning cloth, no chewing gum or.. something. Completely no movement was found. He even hadn’t saw his face till now. Youngjae sighed, clicking his pen with more force, he couldn’t expect the brunette to do something, could he ?? No, of course not, definitely not, today was absolute more beautiful without catching his sight, wasn’t it ? He couldn’t put up with his constant teasing craziness that annoyed him allday anymore.

Youngjae clicked the pen one more. Cack !

He would never admit it, even in mentally – he didn’t miss that bastard !!

Be a long time rival, he should be happy when that obnixious face didn’t appear in his view, right ?

Or he obssessed you too much Yoo Youngjae ?

No. no no no. Forget it. The brunette was sure to be happy without catching his sight. That’s right. He suddenly felt a small knot tugging in his somach, like… disappointing ? Missing ?

Youngjae shook his head, eyebrows narrowed.

No no no. What are you thinking about, Youngjae ? Are you thinkin-

“Youngjae !!”

“Argh” He jumped, looked up his best friend – JB who was standing beside and staring him with questioning gaze. “What ??”

“Are you ok, Jae ? Class is over !“

Oh. His chemistry teacher was no longer standing there. For how long had he daydreamed ?

“Well… uhm…”

“What’s wrong ? Ah ! There’s no sight of Daehyun today to disturb you, isn’t it ?  haha”

“Uh” Youngjae warily laughed “Luck seems to come to me today” He managed out a happy face.

“Youngjae… What’s wrong with you ?”

After reaching the cafeteria, Youngjae turned his head left and right before taking a seat at Junhong’s table.

“Hey. Did you see-“

“Daehyun hyung hasn’t crossed here” Junhong glanced at his hyung “Just eat, hyung. It seems like Daehyun hyung is nowhere to harass you today.”

“Uhm… really..” Youngjae nodded.

Junhong smirked “Miss him ?”

“Yah !!”

“Hi everyone !” Jongup grinned as he took a nearest seat next to the youngest “Junhong, have you seen Yongguk hyung ?”

“Looking for me ?” A raspy voice caught Youngjae off guard. His gaze scaned the approaching guy who was wearing a charming smile. No, this was not Himchan’s thought. And no, Youngjae didn’t have a crush on him or something. “I didn’t see you back then ?”

“When was back then ?”

“Ah, Yongguk hyung, this is Youngjae hyung” introduced Junhong.

“Oh, famous Yoo Youngjae ?” Yongguk eyed him with a soft gaze. What the- ?

“From Himchan” Yongguk shook his hand “I am Daehyun’s acquaintance” Yongguk nearly laugh out loud at the sight of Youngjae narrowing his eyes “I just moved here lately”

‘This is a good news or bad one ?’ doubt Youngjae.

“Where is Daehyun, hyung ?” asked Himchan. Daehyun seemed to disappear since Yongguk had arrived here. Like avoiding him.

Yongguk shook his head “I don’t know. He’ll be alright. Don’t worry”   

‘He’ll be alright ?’ Youngjae stared intensely at Yongguk. He seems to know Daehyun very well, huh ?

Till the end of the day, Daehyun remained unfounded. Youngjae felt extremerly weird. Between the classes breaks, he didn’t run into him though he never expected to. Did he skip school ? Youngjae shook his head. That’s Jung Daehyun, what does studying mean to him ?

No more further, besides Yongguk’s presence and Himchan’s being teased till dark blush by Junhong because of the “emotion” for the new guy. Junhong laughed hard like there’s no tomorrow while Himchan tried his best to gag Junhong in order to prevent the maknae from shouting that to the world. Youngjae followed Junhong but time brought Daehyun back to his mind.

‘Forget him.’

“Ya hyung !” Junhong nudged “Back to the earth hyung. I know you miss Daehyun hyung but not that bad ?”

“I don’t miss him !!” protested Youngjae.

Daehyun walked home today. Skipping school to the park for a day was more than enough. He sighed, he really didn’t want to meet Yongguk, since Yongguk’d never appear unless there was bad incident. It’s not like Yongguk was some kind of disease but it was to him. After opening the large door connected to the house, he was immidiately welcomed by the family’s butler. Always just that – never parents’s warm voice. What could he do, when those two people only interested in working or party he never give a damm to. He used to this however.

He learned to live without them. But it would be a lie if said that he never looked forward to seeing them more frequently, welcoming him, asking him for help with some small taskes, congrating him each time he gained a reward from school as many other children… The last time he saw them was the previous New Year’s Eve. Within five days. He didn’t complain though. It’s all about money, only money… The life he owns existed thank to them.

“You’re home, sir” The old butler kept his head low. Plopping down to bed, he sighed. A figure came to his view out of sudden.

“Daehyun” spoke Yongguk, loud enough for him to hear clearly. That deep low voice sent shivers down Daehyun’s spine – he could never get used to it.

“Just go…”

“I haven’t explained the reason why I’m here ? Or you already know ?”

“…”

“I don’t want to know”

“Daehyun” Yongguk sat down on his bed “I’m sorry.”
