Eli reached for the doorknob, trying to be as quiet as possible.
"Hyung..."
Eli quickly turned around. Kevin stood there before him, wrapped in a blanket, hair messy and half asleep.
"Don't.... Please don't abandon me..." Kevin stared at Eli with sadness in his eyes.
"I-I'm sorry.... But I have to go..." Eli touched the cold doorknob, "I can't..."
Kevin's eyes filled with tears, "you can't what, Eli!?" His voice rose.
"I can't stay here! I can't live with myself, I keep hurting you..." Eli looked at the floor and turned away from Kevin, "I love you to much..."
"Please..." Kevin's voice shook.
Eli opened the door. Kevin dropped his blanket and quickly ran up to him, wrapping his arms around Eli's waist in a tight embrace.
"Kevin, please don't make this harder than it already is..." Eli unwrapped Kevin's arms and turned around again, Kevin's tear-stained face stared back at him. Eli caressed Kevin's cheek, "I need you to be strong..."
Kevin touched his hand to Eli's, "But.... I-I need you!" Kevin pleaded.
Eli shook his head, "No, you don't..." Eli brushed Kevin's hair out of his face and leaned in and kissed his forehead.
Kevin stared at Eli. Eli reached into his pocket and pulled out a small locket. He grabbed Kevin's hand and placed it gently on his palm.
"I love you," Eli closed Kevin's fingers around the small locket and left, closing the door quietly behind him.
"Wait! Eli, no!! You can't just leave me!!" Kevin dropped to his knees, "You promised..."
