A story from the eyes of a friend in Minho's past, finding one truth about his current life.

A week ago, I walked through Tower Records store near my office and that song was played. I didn't know, I didn't even think about what I heard. But the lyrics caught my attention, before then I realized it’s their song.

[.. Before the arrow of light, pierces the endmark
It’s not just a matter of dodging it skillfully
Numerous times, it was fired,
And the pain was always inflicted internally.
Without realising it, it went deeper..]

Last December I received a call from unknown number.
It’s really been a while, isn’t it, Minho-ah.
How many years had passed for both of us to be apart, to be two strangers belong to such a different life.
Who would have thought that Minho I knew would sing with his group together in such a big stage like that?

[.. If you are sad, cry.
Just honestly cry as you are.
If you are still in pain after that and need someone,
Come to my side.
Come as you are..]

Yet once when we’re young, we were good friends.
You and your silly face never failed to make me laugh. Me, such a crybaby.
You and your perfect family that I never have. Me, whose parents had passed away.
You and your dream to be one great soccer player. Me, who always want to study abroad.

[..I get you better.]

I still remember how his dream was crushed.
But he never gives up.
He even gives me courage to try to reach mine.
With his hand pats my shoulder, he became the reason why I took that scholarship.
‘Through yours, maybe one day I will get mine too.’ you said.
Even though because of it, I was the one who left.
In a way, I felt like I betrayed him at that time.

[.. and the loneliness creeps up upon us.
Even the promised date has passed.
The entrance that keeps beckoning to you,
The corner where one reaches the limit of one’s grief..]

Of course I do feel lonely.
And many of our birthdays passed just like that.
I live by myself in this foreign country since I was 13.
Minho lives up to his new dream which brought him to anywhere in the world when he’s 20.
And of course, it brings him here.

[.. I will shut them off, so that they don’t distress you any further.]

I fell in love, I fell out of love.
Yet sometimes, some nights, I hope I still have you near me.
Just to make me laugh even more.
Just to make me cry at ease even more.
As a friend.
As everything you want to be.
Even if it’s just a text message from you, I know I’ll be okay.

[.. Until the day you can laugh again,
I will stay with you, no matter when that is.
Don’t let go of those hands..]

So you will be here again in Tokyo.
We will be under the same sky again.
You texted me. You call me.
I take you and your fellow member around my city.
Feels like we never really apart.
I wonder, would this be the start of our renew relationship?

[.. If you’re in pain no matter where you are,
Come to my side..]

Last December we meet again after so many years.
Last night we hang around again and talk about those days when we were kids.
Us, both on our 20 yet turn into 12 years old again.
Yet, of course, last night I realized everything has change.
Something has change.

[.. At the ends of this world,
If I can run into you there, it would be great.
I want to be with you.
Forever.]

How I love that part of the songs.
Your part, Minho-ah.
Reminds me on how great things were when we were together, younger.
Reminds me on how there’s still hope for me.

Only to be awaken by the fact.
The fact that was written on the last verse.
It’s like the last prayer you sent to me as you let me go years ago.
As if it was now build into this song.

The song that brought an honest tear to my eyes.
Naïve and unwillingly, those tears filled my eyes.

To reach my dream, I let go.
You and I, we let go.

But no one is too blame, right, Minho-ah?

For now as your dream finally brings you, my friend, back to me.
Only now you are smiling happily holding the hand of someone else.

Im back again!!

This time with my beloved Minho.

Wow i just realized in this Short Stories, all stories related to Minho are kinda sad XDDD
