Chapter 4

The Deal

Minho opened the door of the room he went into earlier. “Please come in. Ms. Sulli.” Said Minho

It’s like her legs had a mind of its own. Sulli stood up and entered the room without thinking.

What is this man planning to do?

But Wow.

Just Wow.

It’s a house hiding inside that door! It only looked like a small room, but it’s a big house inside! It has an elegant living room, kitchen, dining and She’s guessing the closed door is the toilet or bath.

Minho stood by a table and pour tea on a cup. He placed this on the nearest table to Sulli.

“Please sit down.” Said Minho

“I don’t plan to stay longer. I need to catch up on my lessons and I need to leave soon.” Said Sulli

“That’s good, because I also don’t want to waste my time on long discussions.” said Minho

This Minho Choi, he’s a cold man. He doesn’t smile and he has that stone expression. Even the way he speaks is like an I-don’t care-about-you tone.

 “Why do you want to talk to me here?” asked Sulli “Do you want to personally interrogate me? Isn’t it enough that your members are trying to test me and grill me?”

Ahhh… She’s a tough girl, thought Minho

“My invitation to you is different from theirs. They might ask you to come here to test you, but my intention is different.” Said Minho

 “How come? You’re their leader right? They always follow you. Whatever their doing to me now surely came from you.” said Sulli

“Hmm… It seems you don’t know WW club that well. I am the leader, yes. But I am not a dictator. I don’t tell them what to do or not to do. But I make sure nothing goes out of hand.” Said Minho “Unfortunately It seems you really got to the nerves of my members.”

“It seems?! They are so angry at me right now. And I did not even do anything wrong! I just studied and got a good grade, all I want is to stay and graduate from this University.” said Sulli irritated

“Good grade?” Minho chuckled sarcastically “That’s an understatement. My members will not act this way if you just got good grades.” Said Minho

 “Ok fine! I got excellent grades! And people are saying I broke one of your records. But I did not mean to do that. Wait…Did you ask me to come here because you are planning something against me because I broke your record?” asked Sulli nervously

Minho smirk at that “If you’re really that good, I’m fine with you breaking some of my records. It’s not a big deal to me. There are thousands of them anyway. By the time you broke them all, I would have earned a thousand more.” Said Minho

Really now?! Not a big deal!? Then what’s all these about!

“If it’s not a big deal to you, then can you stop them?” asked Sulli

“Stop them?” Minho had to chuckle “What’s not a big deal to me can be a big deal to them. Why would I stop them? Beating one of my record. Nobody has ever done that before, you must understand that everyone will be doubtful specially that nobody has ever heard about you before. If you are as good as the grades show, you should have already made it to the news just like I did in the past, right? The exams in Sun Life are not easy. My records are all considered breakthroughs. That’s why it is just logical to doubt if the person is…”

“A nobody?” asked Sulli

“No…not a Nobody…I wanted to say ‘Hiding’. Everyone will doubt a person if she’s always been hiding.” Said Minho

Minho is right…she would always take the seat at the corner. She doesn’t talk much. She eats lunch on her own… She doesn’t want people paying attention to her. All the while, she has always been hiding.

“WW club is not just an organization like everyone else thinks. Each of us has a long and deep friendship. We protect each other. Not just physically but in all aspects we can…especially in terms of achievement and integrity.” Said Minho “WW Club is Sun Life’s symbol of excellence.”

“I may not be orchestrating whatever they are doing to you, but I have no plans to stop them.” Said Minho

And so what is she still doing in this room? Thought Sulli. Just to tell her that he’s not the mastermind?!

“If you will not stop them, what do you plan to do? Just watch while they drive me out of the school just because I’m working hard to achieve my goals?” asked Sulli

“You have very low confidence. And that’s not going to help you. I am here to offer you a deal.” said Minho

“A deal?” asked Sulli

“For sure they will come up with a challenge against you. They will not stop until you give up.” Said Minho

“That’s not fair.”

“So the deal I am offering is…If you manage to get through their challenge without putting shame on your name, I will stop them. But if I hear that they were able to embarrass you, I will  personally make sure you leave Sun Life.” Said Minho
