"Tell me again why we are sneaking around like this ?"

L.Joe raised his eyebrow unhappily. He glanced over to a girl by his side, they were both squatting down by his car. Dahae hissed, smacking his hip, "Have you seen Kris yet ?", Dahae asked seriously, her eyes were busy glancing back and forth the street.

L.Joe sighed, he rubbed his cold cheeks and tucked his hands into his jacket. He had just arrived home from school when Dahae begged him to go with her.

Arguing that she was sick and shouldn't go out like this but he insisted on going out. Not wanting to risk letting her go alone, L.Joe had no choice but to agree to accompany her.

"He must be at home now", L.Joe stated, bobbing his head to prove his point. His expression turned amused when Dahae shook her head with a frank smirk, "Zelo will call if Kris comes home. Should we go over there ? I think I saw a tall dude, may be Kris".

"What about calling and asking where he is ?", L.Joe gasped when Dahae slapped her hand over his mouth, clamming him shut and grabbed him like a sag of rice.

L.Joe struggled but gave up in the end. She is freaking strong even when she is sick

"Hyunji said she saw him in a coffee shop, we will look inside any coffee shop !"

"We ? No, no, I am not stupid like you", L.Joe shook his head, scrunching his nose to show how much he was against Dahae's idea.

"How is it stupid ?", Dahae asked without looking at him, she was still busy pulling him behind her as she intently looked for Kris in each coffee shop in sight.

"First thing, he would have left already. Second, there are more than a hundred shops in this area"
"We have all time in this world, now come on, I am thirsty anyway", she linked her arm around his, flashed a smile which L.Joe fell for right away.

They headed inside a shop which looked like one of the most expensive there, thinking that Kris was a type to love this kind of shop.

"Kris is not here", Dahae pouted, dropping shoulders. L.Joe only chuckled, "This is our eighth shop, want to give up ?"

"No, as you said, there are a hundred, and I won't give up until that"

"Okay, then at least buy a drink, I am running out of water for this hopeless chase", L.Joe ruffled her hair, he approached the counter to order his drink. Dahae noisily disagreed, she grabbed his sweater as if her life depended on it. "You can't buy it here !"

"What's now, Dahae ?"

"It's expensive !"

L.Joe gave her a disbelief look, "No it's not ! It's just a drink"

"It's a drink to you, but it's a meal to me !, her eyes were wide and she used all of her body language to describe how expensive and how L.Joe shouldn't buy it.

He smiled, he could not be mad at Dahae even when she wa stingy like this, because that's what made Choi Dahae. "Let's consider it as I treat you a meal. Your favorite is mint latte"

"Byunghun..."

"I know, I know, I'm so cool, right ?"

"You are so damn wasteful"

L.Joe gave up on asking for a reason and focused on following Dahae in fear that she might cause trouble. “Are you cold ?”, L.Joe sighed, he noticed how her cheeks were turning pink and her nose was red yet she didn’t care.

“A little, but it’s okay”, Dahae waved him off when L.Joe began to take off his jacket. “You will catch a cold yourself so don’t give me that”, she forcefully yanked his jacket back on.

“You hurt my ego as a man too many times, you jerk. Let me treat you like I am a man for once, can you ?”, L.Joe snapped, took off his jacket this time with speed and wrapped it over Dahae’s head. She softened, “I never say this before, but, really, thank you for staying with us even after a year, Byunghun”

L.Joe dropped his usual I-don’t-care-what-you-say look and softly bit his lips at what she said. “Come here, you little thick-head”, L.Joe put his hand on her head and grew her in. Not hesitant, Dahae crashed her forehead against his shoulder and leaned on him.

“I miss calling you bubblehead”

“You don’t have to miss that, you can start calling me prince or handsome from now on”
