Prologue Pt.1

I sigh as I run my finger down Sungmin’s cheek, closing my eyes at the same time. The only sounds in the room are Sungmin’s breathing and my sobs. I open my eyes and quickly wipe at the tears. I change the flowers in the vase, just like I do every day. “I miss you… it’s lonely without you.” Sungmin still sleeps peacefully, and I choke slightly on my tears. “I wish there was something I could do…” Then I remember what my sister told me. I’ve heard making paper stars is good luck. Why don’t you make some? Maybe it will help…  I pull out the jar from my bag and put it on the nightstand. Then I pull out paper and try my best to make a paper star. Once I’m satisfied, I gently put it in the jar. “Please wake up soon… I’ve regretted that day ever since you fell into a coma…” I say, finally breaking down into tears. I drop down onto my knees and sob as I cling to his arm.
