What does the world in the story look like?

Where did you get the names of the regions?

From Philippine mythology

Hannan from Hanan is the goddess of morning. She is one of the three daughters of Bathala

Sinukwan from Haring Sinukuan is the sun god of war and death. He taught people metallurgy, wood cutting, rice culture and waging war. (There's a festival dedicated to him)

Kaptan is the supreme god who dwells in the sky.

Apolaki is the chief patron of warriors

lastly, Cirena from Sirena is the Tagalog word for mermaid.

The stories about these deities and creatures have nothing to do with the story though so if you want to know more about them, then google is your friend.

What does each region do?

Hannan makes the laws and they make sure everyone follows it. They organize the annual Ceremonies and acts as a bridge in between the regions.

Cirena is the region where healers are trained. The region is also surrounded by a vast body of water so the natives naturally learned how to fish and they sell it to other regions.

Kaptan houses all the scholars. All inventors, educators, and scientists are trained in this region. Kaptan has lots of wind turbine used to provide electricity to all the regions.

Sinukwan provides food for everyone. They send trucks of food every week to the regions. The natives in this region are very strict when it comes to food. They believe that not a single piece of it must be wasted.

Apolaki natives are warriors. They provide military assistance to all regions. Some of their natives are also very good in dancing.

Are the other side characters idols too?

Yep! Jinah is Afterschool Nana & Yongwoon is Super Junior Kangin. The rest of the names are pretty easy to identify

Why are the regions separated by walls?

Hannan felt the need to keep everyone separated. It was a result of something that happened a long time ago.

How does the Ceremony go?

According to my notes, these are the stages of the ceremony:

III. Aptitude Exam Part 1 (written) Day 1

IV. Personality Exam Day 2

V. Aptitude Exam Part 2 (computerized) Day 3

VI. Rest Day 4

VII. Psychomotor Exam Day 5

VIII. Transition Ceremony Day 6

What are the characters ages?

Soojung, Sehun and Jongin (and all the ceremony participants) are 18

Sooyeon and Jinah are 20

Junmyeon is 21

Changmin and Kyuhyun are 23

Yongwoon is 24

Jongdae is 19
