Myungsoo found himself walking around the neighborhood with his feet aching and confused head. He doesn’t want to go home for now. He doesn’t want to face Hee Rin and her innocent looks. He just wants to get away with all of this now.

He found a bench at the sidewalk and sat there with his head duck down. The sky was already dark and there weren’t any people walking around the neighborhood except for him. He wants to ease his mind yet Hee Rin’s kind face would just interrupt his thoughts and would make him feel guilty as ever.

He wants to call his friends to have someone to talk to but then he realized that he didn’t bring his phone. He was too exhausted and so tired to think of any good plans in the future for now. And a part of him was feeling afraid for some reason and he doesn’t know what he is afraid of…

Soon enough, Myungsoo decided to go home. It was already late midnight and he wonders if the door of their house was already locked by now. His head was aching and his hands were shaking since he’s been out for hours and not to mention that the weather is undeniably cold.

Much to his distaste, Hee Rin greeted him at the door. “Where have you been?” She asked worriedly and Myungsoo ignored her as he pushed pass her, walking straight upstairs.

“Myungsoo!”She calls and he halted. Somehow when she calls him by that name, he just felt like he has to listen to her. “You haven’t eaten your dinner yet, aren’t you?” She asked as she fumbles with her fingers. Myungsoo slowly spun around to face her and shook his head. He hates it how she acted so nice towards him even if he’s ignoring her most of the time.

“Come on, eat with me?” She hesitantly asked and Myungsoo looks away, afraid to meet her gaze. “Myungsoo?” She smiles and Myungsoo sighs in defeat as he walks towards the dining room.

The atmosphere around the room was awkward and the clattering of the utensils are the ones being heard around. Hee Rin taking quick glances at her husband every now and then and she couldn’t help but to feel worry about him. His eyes looks vacant and he looks so tired.

“Is something wrong?” Hee Rin clears and Myungsoo looks up at her. He shook his head and Hee Rin sighs. She always knew that something was bothering her husband yet he doesn’t want to open it up to her. She wants to do anything to make him feel better yet she can’t even start if he’s being like this.

“I know that there’s something bothering you L. And I want you to know that I’m always here to listen if you need someone to talk to. I can lend you my shoulders if you need to cry” She kindly spoke and Myungsoo stared at the meat on his plate. “I mean, I know that you guys don’t want to cry in front of us but hey, everyone knows that even for a while, its okay to let your guards down. I don’t judge L” She adds with a crooked smile.

Myungsoo bit his tongue and closed his eyes as he inhaled deeply. Why is she too kind for heaven’s sake?!!! Why does she have those kind words in her?! Myungsoo would frustratingly think. *Why of all people, I found you instead of others?!* He angrily thought.

He didn’t take a second to glance at her but he just stood up and walk away from the room. Hee Rin bites her lower lip and couldn’t help but to feel sad, this is so hard for her. Her tears started to welled up in her eyes but she took a deep breath to not let it fall. She needs to be strong.

When Myungsoo arrives at his office, he found Min Ae sitting on his table with a smug look. He sighed exasperatedly as he put his attaché case down and the bento box on the table. “What are you doing here?” He mutters and Min Ae crosses her arms against her chest.

“What? You don’t want to see you girlfriend?” She sarcastically stated and Myungsoo sort of flinches at the word ‘girlfriend.’ Somehow, he doesn’t feel energize to see her. She's been all too bratty that he can't even find himself getting attracted to her now.

“I’m busy Min Ae” He bitterly stated and Min Ae rolled her eyes before it landed on the bento box that was neatly prepared by Hee Rin.

“What’s this?” Min Ae disgustingly glared at the bento box. “Seriously? You’re eating this piece of trash?” She dramatically laughs and Myungsoo gave her a look.

“Are you here to annoy me now, Min Ae?” He asked as he rubs his temple. “Cause I’m not in the mood to tolerate you. I would appreciate it if you just leave” He says calmly and Min Ae scoffs.

“I’m here to warn you that the time was ticking and you need to do double time with your stupid plans” She coldly stated. “I can’t just wait any longer” she says and Myungsoo sighs.

“And besides the King is getting older. You should take over the company” She adds nonchalantly.

“It’s not that easy Min Ae” Myungsoo prods, making Min Ae roll her eyes at him.

“Whatever. Just do whatever you can or I’ll break up with you” She threats and gracefully walks away from his office. Myungsoo ruffles his hair frustratingly and throw away the first thing he saw across the room as he shouts in outrage: the bento box. The rice was scattered on the ground and the box was broken, everything messed up.

Taemin hurriedly run towards Myungsoo’s office and gasps at the mess he have done. “Your highness!! What happened?!” He shrieks as he calls someone to clean the mess. Myungsoo buries his face in his hands while gritting his teeth.

“Leave me alone” He muttered to Taemin and the latter gulps as he worriedly glanced at his master before leaving the room.

Myungsoo peeks between his fingers and saw a janitor cleaning up the broken pieces of the bento box. A sudden tug in his heart makes him cringed and it feels as if there’s something inside him that suffocates him and he doesn’t know why. Is he feeling guilty?

That day, he found himself getting so distracted that he can’t even focus in his paper works. The thing is, he is not thinking about his problems with Min Ae… But what distracts him today was that thing that his wife prepares for him everyday with all her might: bento box.
