“Mom, Mom, are you alright,” I shake her violently and try not to look at her face, covered in the blood that was dripping onto my hand.

“Dad! Please, please if this is a joke, it’s not funny,” I looked at him and jumped out of the car, for the steering wheel was in his stomach.

I took my cellphone out of my pocket and called 911. They told me to calm down and they would arrive right away. People stood and stared at the crying girl looking at her dead parents. They looked at me with sympathy but didn’t do anything. I tried to stop crying and pull myself together but I couldn’t stop. I looked at them, at their lifeless bodies, sitting there as if in peace but how could they be, when so much chaos and pain was around them.

I was curled in a ball, in the middle of the street, and then I heard a honking noise. I raised my head to see a car driving at me....

I jerked up, panting. I looked around me. I was in my bed. “Just a dream,” I tried to convince myself, but I can’t convince myself to forget why I had to go back to Korea. I couldn’t go back to sleep. I was scared to dream about “The Car Accident,” the event that left me an ORPHAN.
