For beginners, you can't just type in codes.
You need to click the Source button at the top left corner of where you type things at....yeah, I at explaining.. orz.
The '<' and '>' are reeeaaally important when typing codes. The codes you just typed won't work when '<' and '>' aren't there. You just simply add them at the end of the codes.
* Attributes give elements meaning and context.
Elements :
p : you use it when you're starting a paragraph.
div : defines a division or a section.
span : for designing your texts.
a href= : for hyperlinking any certain text or image.
img : for inserting images, goes with src
Attributes :
style : goes with p, div, span, etc.
title : for hovering over text/images.
src : for images. where you put the link.
alt : usually comes before the src attribute.
For editing / adding design :
font-family : the style of your font
font-size : size of your font
color : color of your font. I guess AFF only accepts #000000 kinds of codes.
letter-spacing : spacing of the letters.
float : often used for images.
margin : can be used for images. But i guess you can also use it for other things
margin-left : margin of the left
margin-right : margin of the right
margin-top : margin of the top.
margin-bottom : margin of the bottom.
border-style : the style of your border. I have some borders listed on chapter 7
border-width : how thick you want your border to be.
padding : the spacing between the image/text and border.
opacity : changes the visibility.
background-color : the color of the background
Other tags :
b/strong : bolds the text. /cough/ Don't get the wrong idea...
i : italic
u : underline
del/s : strikethrough
sub : subscript
sup : superscript
text-align : for aligning your text/paragraph.
br : line break
Commenting :
!-- -- : hidden comments that only you can see; will only be shown at your code and not your layouts, so don't worry.
