“Byunghee-ah. Are you fine walking home alone later? Daddy still can’t find a nanny for you and I can’t bring you home. Are you sure you’re okay by yourself?”

Byunghee nodded his head.

“Daddy! Byunghee has to go in now. Class will start soon! Bye daddy!” Byunghee kissed his dad goodbye and waved before rushing into his kindergarten.

Myungsoo sighed deeply once again, for the nth time already. He just couldn’t find any care-taker for his son and he’s dead worried about him on his own.

He sighed once more and dragged his feet to his work.

“Bye teacher!” The students waved goodbye and went off.

“Byunghee-ah! Where’s your daddy?” The teacher asked when she didn’t see his dad.

“Daddy is busy. Byunghee has to go home by myself.”

“Really? Do you want me to bring you home?”

“No teacher! Byunghee will be okay. Bye teacher!” Byunghee waved goodbye and ran off leaving the teacher dumbfounded.

“Daddy said turns right here…” Byunghee mumbled to himself as he saw the unfamiliar buildings around him.

“Or did he say turns left?” He asked himself, unsure of the directions.

He walked around the neighborhood but just couldn’t find the directions home.

“AHH!” He tripped onto a stone and fell down on the floor, with a scrapped knee.

“OMO-NA!” A shout could be heard as well as the footsteps of that person.

“Are you alright?” That girl helped Byunghee to stand up and brushed the dirt away from him. “Are you okay?” She asked again when she heard no response.

She heard no answers and looked at his face. “Are you alright?” She asked softly while looking into his eyes.<
