Grammar Nazis
Things I Cannot StandI fully understand that grammar is an important part of writing, and improper grammar can detract from an enjoyable reading experience.
However, when people start dissecting sentences and stripping it down to whether or not certain particles should be changed or whatnot, I start wanting to flip tables.
If the plot is good, if the writing is good, if you enjoy the story, you shouldn't be bothered by the occasional small thing.
If everyone started complaining about grammar and completely ignored stories that are good but need only a few small tweaks, we would live in a very dismal world. I have read stories with impeccable grammar, but dull storylines. Likewise, I have read stories with great plots, but have some grammar issues.
Guess which stories I liked better.
If you yourself are concerned about your grammar, then get a beta reader. Better to fix things before they happen so that you don't have grammar nazis attacking you.
