A girl walked through the shore, watching far to the Atlantic Ocean. Her blonde hair hung down, getting blown by the wind. She just followed her feet wherever they led her to. Actually, she had to come back to her camp – she was in a summer camp – to join the lunch, but had already lost her appetite. The camp apparently wasn’t as fun as she thought it was. So she chose to take a short walk to shake her boredom off. There was no other way to lighten her feelings up than enjoying the shore and smelling the typical aroma of the sea; it was literally relaxing.

It’d been a while before finally she felt a bit tired. A big coral stone suddenly caught her sapphire blue eyes and without thinking any longer, she decided to take a rest on it. She was about to climb when an old and dusted box caught her sight, it was laid out on the white sand. Curious, she tingled to open it. Who knew that there might be golds and jewelries inside.

She took the box while cleaning it up from the sand – some were already mixed with the salt water and became sticky. It was an old ornamented box, probably was from the early 19th century, and wasn’t locked. Once she opened it, the contents weren’t as she’d expected,  but a diary which seemed like it’d been unopened for a million years; old, dull, and outdated. Frown formed on her angelic face as she knew that it was only an old diary. She was going to put it back to its first place when suddenly she saw a name written on the cover.

She thought for a while before eventually deciding to read the whole diary.

“I’m curios about what our earth is actually shaped like. But I guess it’s flat.”

“No, it isn’t. The past explorers had travelled to many places and they could come back to their homeland. I’m sure it’s round shaped.”

“But if our earth was round, we should have fallen down. You know, when we are on the bottom side.”

“Well, let’s see.”
