Pronunciation Style
~The Kpop Poetry Book~
I like strange things, but strange comes with a price.
You must pronounce things right or the trolls won't be nice.
And I hate to complain, so see it through my eyes.
When you say things wrong, do you really sound wise?
Ah, it's a foreign thing,
but I find myself screaming.
It's said one way, but spelled another.
I can think of five words, it's not a bother.
Phantom isn't Pahantum.
Poetry isn't Poe-Try.
Here isn't Her-Ee.
Manga isn't Man-Guh.
From isn't Fro-M.
I don't wanna say it,
I don't wanna scream it.
This pet peeve of mine,
makes me wanna draw the line.
This little thing gives me the blues.
You gloat,
and the words float,
they don't drown in grumbles.
Cause whenever I hear it, I release angry mumbles.
You can just plain hear it in the song.
Oh, how I want to yell, "You're wrong!".
But that's how you loose friends,
and that's why I can't shout it,
again and again.
I don't wanna say it,
I don't wanna scream it.
This pet peeve of mine,
makes me wanna draw the line.
This little thing gives me the blues.
Have you guessed it?
The name of the song?
The song that fuels me to say under my breathe,
"It's Gangnam Style! Not Gaangnam Style!"
I wrote this poem for my english class. We were studying 'blues poetry' and were assigned to write a blues poem. So, during the Gangnam Style craze, I kept hearing people say "Open Gang Nam Style!"... and it killed me on the inside. This is just a little rant in poem form about pronunciation xD
Btw... I see T.O.P. from his Fantastic Baby days and G-Dragon+Taeyang from their Monster days in the background of the pic above. Here... look again.
Seeeeeeeeeee?
