Eight
Description
Taeyeon can see it. She can see the way the girls try to include her in their conversations and games, the way they show her fake smiles, the way they try to act like they enjoy her company—but she knows those things aren't true at all. She knows that they're a family of nine, always meant to be together, but something's always off.
She's tried, countless times, to convince herself otherwise, that those are just the insecurities of being in an industry of lies, but the thoughts won't stop haunting her mind and stabbing her chest whenever she sees the girls laughing together. And over the years, the monster has grown immensely in size and strength—so much that she knows she can't stop it.
But she's determined to get rid of it, to restrain it and separate it from the girls and fans that have given her worried looks for too long. And now, she's finally found a way: if she can't make it part from her life, she'll just have to leave everything else behind.
Foreword
Here's a Taeyeon-centric SNSD oneshot for you all. I'm still not sure how this is going to work out yet, but it's an idea I've started writing and want to see an end to.
There will probably not be any romance in this. There may be feelings involved, but nothing is carved in stone just yet.
When I finish writing this oneshot, the parts above may change—even the tags—but the general idea will be about the same.
