The Prayers of a Traitor

Description

Youngjae knew that he was stupid. He was stupid for falling into a trap he knew was in front of him all along.

Foreword

The cement ground he sat on was grimy, even more so now than before because his dry, closer to black than red, blood was spattered like paint all over the floor. The deep, stinging slit in his throat shot messages of pain relentlessly into his brain, the numerous punches and kicks aimed at his skull blurred his vision, and the sharp ache in his fractured ribs made his breathing difficult. Every second of living, breathing, and waiting was a battle.

Yet, he knew he deserved it. Every punch, kick, and cut of the dirtied blade.

He took on the undercover mission like a good cop, thinking that he would manage just fine. He thought that since this so-called gang was on the top of the list for the most wanted criminals in Asia, that they were ed-up and rotten and complete menaces to society. So when his commander warned him not to become attached to any of the five criminals, the young cop merely laughed. Why? Because Youngjae didn't think he would need to restrain himself from attachment to a group of people society labeled as screw ups.

He didn't think he would be so dead wrong. He didn't think that his life would play devil's advocate and make him take back the words he once proudly spat out. Basically, Youngjae didn't think any of this would happen to him. But now he knew.

Youngjae knew that he was stupid. He was stupid for falling into a trap he knew was in front of him all along. At the end of the day, he was a traitor on both sides, a walking dead man who played them all one way or another. And before he knew it, he lost the war before it had even begun.

His coughs echoed throughout the dim room, as his lungs begged for air. With every wheezing breath, the young teens body trembled.

He clamped his eyes shut, willing away all the memories of yesterday to oblivion, and prayed to a God he barely believed in. Hoping that one day, he would be forgiven.

Chapter 1: its confusing..so is he recalling the past or..i think he's still w the members in present time tho,but like, the end is nearing & he's feeling all guilty inside about which side to choose, when he was supposed to not fall in love to any of them or even get attached. he knows they'd know the truth anw & their ending is unavoidable..this is just sad :(
