"I'll be in my office," mr.kim gave his son few pats on the back and left him there. Myungsoo stood there and as his gaze fell on that sleeping figure, he felt something inside him broke. Guilt filled his heart in seconds. He had cursed him, wishing that he could just disappear from the face of the earth, never to let him see him again. But right now, seeing him comatose and as pale as the bed sheet beneath him, he just couldn't bare the thought of losing him. "Sungjong..." he called. He should have known about his illness. He should have noticed something. All these years spent together, they were so close together. He should have! Myungsoo tore his eyes away from his pale face. He couldn't bare to see his bestfriend laying there, with his life extended to every second by a life support machine residing beside him. He could see various monitors on the machine that indicated his heartbeat, brainwave and breathing waves. At least he knew that he was still alive. He walked across his room and sat on a one of the two rows of chairs. "Why?" he mumbled to himself, half expecting that the occupant of the ICU in front of him would open his eyes, sit up straight, give him his innocent smile and say that everything was only a bad dream. But he knew better. This was reality. His best friend, that he had cursed and ignored for the last three weeks, was fighting over his life. If only he gave he the attention he needed. He stayed there, just staring of him. His mind went blank the moment the saw him medical reports. The only thing in his mind was him.
