I went back to the cheerleading team.

"Where did you went?" Henry came to me.

"Uh...toilet." I sat down.
 

He sat down beside me.

 

"Henry..."

"What's wrong?"

 

I don't know to tell him or...

The girls from just now were looking at me.

 

"You know, Jae Hi likes you. You should give her a chance." I looked at ground.

 

"I know."

 

"What? You do? Then..."

"I like you."

 

I looked up at him.

Is he joking?

 

"I don't expect you to like me back but I just wanna get this off my chest."

"Henry, thank you. But I'm sorry..."

"It's alright."

 

"Be sure to cheer for me later."

"Ne." I smiled and nodded.

Henry stood up and went back to his gang.

 

I swear I saw the girls glaring at me but as soon as the mascot sat down beside me, they disappeared.

"Say...are you participating in any event later?"

I asked him, since he's so tall I'm sure Mr Lee the coach from the basketball team would have tried to get him into his team.

 

"Yeah...Mr Lee is really annoying. He says he'll give me better grades if I joined his team." He shrugged.

"Haha~ Mr Lee is always like that." I chuckled.

 

Our school's sports day is really special, we included sports like basketball and football unlike other schools.

 

"My name is Kris."

 

Huh?!

"Just making sure you don't call me mascot when I play later."

 

"I didn't say I'll cheer for you..." I gave him a nonchalant look.

 

"Whatever."

He stood up and went over to the basketball team.

 

So he's really playing basketball... Of course I'll watch.

 

"Wait! Kris!" I ran after him.

He turned around.

 

"Good luck charm." 

I took out my pendant and gave it to him.

"Thanks." 

 

"You have to win okay...don't make my good luck charm lose its powers." I gave him a light punch on the arm and went over to the bleachers.

 

Basketball was the last event.

Henry participated in basketball as well... However, his team didn't do that well.

Henry sat beside me again.

 

I was looking intently at the team that was going to play.

"Hey."

"Good job there." I gave him a light squeeze on the shoulder.

The next team that's playing is Kris' team!

 

I scanned the players and found Kris.

 

Number six, in red and black jersey.

 

He looked really nice in that outfit.

 

The match started.

 

"Go Kris!!! Go!!" 

Before I could even cheer for Kris, someone else did.

 

They sat behind me.

They must be friends of Kris... They shouted really loudly.

 

Kris was often passed with the ball but he always gave it to other team mates.

 

"It looks like he doesn't want to score." Henry said.

 

The teams' scores are 20 to 27.

Kris looks angry..maybe its because that particular team mater couldn't aim properly and missed the hoop.

 

"Kris have to keep calm..."

"He's looking like an angry bird again."

 

I giggled at the comment made from behind me.

Kris does looks like one when he's angry...

 

"Kris hwaiting!!!" I shouted for him.

He gave me a smile, or at least what I think that is... and looked determined.

 

He shoots and Mr Lee was clapping and shouting "Good job, son!" at him.

Maybe Mr Lee's intention was for Kris to be the scorer.

 

"Careful!"

I shouted at Kris, the player from the other team rammed him on the shoulder.

The referee whistled and gave the guy a yellow card.

 

That was definitely on purpose...

Then another player bumped into Kris.

 

It was fairly obvious that the coach from the other team was using underhand tricks.

"Kris..." I clasped my hands.

I'm afraid that he might really get injured this way.

 

The score now was 30 for both teams.

They were all worn out and panting a lot.

Kris was still getting marked.

 

The time is running out.

 

Kris was close to the hoop but the player behind him wouldn't let him shoot.

He faked a jump and passed the ball to the other team mate.

 

No one expected that so that team mate wasn't marked.

Kris kept the other team busy while the team mate made his shoot.

 

The ball was circling around the hoop...

 

Kris jumped and slammed it down.

 

*BEEEP!!!!!!!!*

The match was over!

Kris' team won!

 

Everyone cheered~

 

The guys behind me were shouting some foreign language that I don't understan but I knew that they were happy for Kris.

 

"Chae Rin, you like him don't you?" Henry said.

 

"H-huh?" 

"Your eyes never left him."

 

I don't know...is it possible to like someone so quickly?

"Remember what I said. He's dangerous." Henry said.

 

"He has a good heart." I looked at Henry.

"I don't want you to get hurt again." Henry's words struck me.

 

The other team that was playing against Kris' team...my ex was one of the players.

I have a bad feeling about this.

I stood up and ran to find Kris.

"Stop!" I shouted.

My ex pushed Kris to the locker.

 

"Ki Hyun ah, what are you doing?" 

"Chae Rin? Why are you here?"

 

"To stop you. Let him go."

"Ah? Isn't the hero supposed to save the damsel in distress? Why is it opposite now?" Ki Hyun laughed.

 

"Hands off me." Kris glared at him.

"What did you say? Don't think you're the leader I'll be scared of you."

 

Huh? Leader?

 

"Leader!" A group of guys came our way.

There were five of them.
 

"Let go of our leader!"

Henry told me Kris involved in gang fights...

 

"Leader of the Flying Dragons. Kris Wu, from China."

"Yes, I'm Chinese. So?" 

 

Ki Hyun hit the locker.

*BAM!*

 

"Who do think you are? Winning me, snatching my girl..."

"What girl?"

 

"Her." Ki Hyun pointed at me.

 

"Ki Hyun, what nonsense are you talking about? We broke up already." I shoot daggers at him.

One of the guy came running towards me!

 

"Chae Rin!"

Kris shouted.

 

A fist from my side sent the guy flying.

 

I turned and saw a black haired guy that has cat--like eyes...and thanked him.

"It's my pleasure." He suddenly bowed and lifted my hand to his lips.

 

"Tao...DON'T YOU DARE." 

Kris stared at Tao.

 

Kris looks like an angry bird...so cute.

 

"I wouldn't dare." Tao smirked and let go of my hand.

"She's our leader's lady. Right?"

Tao eye-smiled him.

 

"W-what lady..." Kris stuttered.

Tao walked to Ki Hyun and Kris.

 

"Let go of my leader before I disfigure you." Tao smiled.

Like a cheshire cat. 

Tao grabbed Ki Hyun's arm and sent a blow to Ki Hyun's chest.

 

Suddenly everyone started fighting.

"You guys, stop!"

Everyone froze.

 

"Don't fight... Kris has gotten punishment because of that already...do you guys want to get punished for no reason?"

"Kris, let's go." I went to him and grabbed his arm.

 

I dragged him out of there.

His gang followed us out too.

 

"As expected, our leader has exotic taste." One guy with a really young looking face said.

"Luhan, keep quiet." The other guy a cute fleshy face shushed him.

When i stopped, I released my grip on Kris.

 

"I'm sorry, it's my fault." I bowed down to him.

"Chae Rin."

He gave me back my good luck charm.

 

"Ah? You can keep it."

"Then, in exchange I'll give you this..." He wrapped his arms around me for a few seconds and smiled.

It was a necklace.

"What does it say?"

I looked at the pendant. 

 

It was engraved with words I don't understand.

All of the guys except for Kris bowed.

 

"Huh?!"

 

"It means you're mine now." Kris smirked.

"What?! When did I say I-"

 

Kris hugged me and I went silent.

"Chae Rin..." His deep voice called out my name and it sounds good.

 

"...yeah?" I replied him, blushing my hardest.

"Be my wife."

 

"Huh?! We haven't even reach the first stage and you're already flying to the next!"

I looked up at him.

"Well, I'm the leader of Flying Dragons. I fly." He chuckled at his own word play.

 

"You're so lame..." I laughed a bit and hit him lightly.

 

"That's not the worst! He keeps on saying words like "maybe next time" and links everything to he can fly."

"Chen, you wish for an early death don't you?" Kris gave a smile to Chen.

 

"No..."

"Tonight...Chen, you know what will happen..."

 

"Sorry leader! I'll shut my mouth!" Chen showed Kris a zip action.

"Good."

 

"Kris...could you release me already? People are looking." I said.

 

"Never. You're mine now. Even if the whole world dies and there's only you and me, my heart won't change."
 

"Woah, I didn't know that kind of mushy words can come out from this face." I pointed at him.

 

"I..." He wanted to rebut me but failed.

 

"But I wouldn't have known it if I didn't pay attention to the you that was underneath that leopard costume." 

 

"You're lucky then." He smiled and gave me a kiss.

 

"Kris, why did you say that I should quit cheerleading?"

The question has been like a heavy rock in my chest.

 

"Because I was scared that the same thing would happen again."

I shook my head.

 

"Now that I'm with you, you'll fly to me if I fall again won't you?" I gave him a smile.

 

"No." He gives me a aloof expression.

 

"Yah!" I flicked his cheek.

"Ouch. I was just joking..." He rubbed his face.

 

"Idiot." I tip toed and took his hand away from his face and kissed the spot where I hit him.

 

"One moreee~" He his lips.

"I don't want to~" I stuck out my tongue.

 

"Heh." 

He cups my cheeks and crashed his lips with mine!

 

But, I didn't move away.

 

"Stupid angry bird..." I blushed after our lips left each others.

 

"You're mine now, you can't say no to me." He smiled and hugs even tighter.
