Dear Diary, 

Its been about 3 years since I have lived in America.

I'm going to college next year.

At first, things went off at a rough start being in an unfamiliar country.

But now I have made many friends who care about me and my neighbors are REALLY nice.

But of course, I miss my home back in Korea. 

I hope someday I get to see Myungsoo again...

 

I finish writing in my journal. 

"Wow." I think to myself.

My English has improved a whole lot. 

I close the book and hold it to my chest.

I close my eyes.

I wonder how Myungsoo will look like now.

I imagine him with a beard.

"Pfft!" That cracks me up.

"Honey, come down for dinner!"

"Yes, mom!"

I lay the book down my desk and leave.

 

The next morning, I get up and run towards the bathroom.

My hair looks really long now and I have gotten taller.

I look so different than I was 3 years ago.

I seem so mature now, especially with all that make-up tips my friends showed me.

I wash my face, brush my teeth, powder my face, rub lotion on, put on some mascara, add some blush, and I pucker up my lips with lip gloss.

Lastly, I tie my hair up in a bun as the finishing touch.

Hmm, I need some earrings and a pin to hold my loose hair.

I sometimes wonder why I try so much effort into my looks. 

Back then, I always didn't get why all the girls put on make-up just to flirt with the boys.

Sigh...would Myungsoo hate me if I was doing this?

I pack my backpack and got ready to leave.

"See you afterschool umma!"

I meet one of my friends while I am walking.

"Hey Cecilia! How was your break-up?"

"Horrible...he kept begging me not to go while he was on his knees. So embarassing! Seriously, you don't know how many times I tried to push him away!"

"Lol, those types of guys are the ones I hate the most."

"I know right?! I mean, doesn't he have any pride?"

"Hahahaha! I totally get what you mean."

"Ah! I love what your wearing! Your a full set today!"

"Thanks! I took extra special care in how I looked today."

"Why?"

"Just felt like it."

At that moment I had the strange feeling someone was watching me.

"Freaky, I got the goosebumps, don't you feel like we're being watched?"

"Not really..."

I tried to ignore it.

But I couldn't.

"You go on ahead. I have to take a detour for a bit."

"Ok, no problem."

I stay back and trace back my footsteps.

"Hey, long time no see.'

A deep, man's voice.

"Kyaa!" I turn backwards and punched in the air while closing my eyes.

"Whoah, close one."

I open my eyelids..

I gasp.

"Myun...Myung...Myungsoo?!"

"Ya, that's me."

"You look...you look so much older now."

"Right back at ya."

I blush at the thought of how much portions of make-up I put on today.

"Its nice to see you." He hugs me tightly and his embrace is warm...very warm.

"How'd you know it was me?"

"Your voice."

I blush again.

Such a lady's man.

"I got to go to school though.."

"Its alright. I'll wait for you at home. Maybe I'll even pick you up from school. I already contacted your parents that I was coming."

"Why did you never tell me you were coming?"

"To surprise you of course."

I smile and he smiles that same smile like before.

"See you later." He pecks me once on my cheek and once on my lips.

 

RINNNNG! RIIINNNGGGG!

The bell rang and I couldn't wait to go back home.

I skipped along the hallway with my arms linked around my friends.

"Well your in a happy mood."

"Haha, how'd you know?"

"Its written everywhere on your face."

"You know me so well."

As I got out the front door, I saw Myungsoo waiting right there.

"Myungsoo-yah! Its so cold! Why were you waiting for me outside?"

"You should know why."

He glimpses at my friends.

"Nice to meet you, I am her boyfriend."

I blush AGAIN. 

So direct.

Only he can make me blush so much.

"You never told us you had such a HOT korean guy in your hands!"

"Jeaalousss?"

"Well, duh!"

"Come have a snack with us! We'll pay!"

The whole time, my friends seemed to be charmed by my boyfriend.

Well, it is MYUNGSOO.

But I was kind of envious of how he was showing them the smile he ever only showed to me before.

"Well, anyways, my girlfriend and I should be going."

"Awwww! Okay...see ya tomorrow!"

We part and I turn back to him.

"Until when are you staying?"

"A while."

"How'd you get so good at English?"

"Eh."

I pout. 

"Haha, you're so cute."

He stretches my cheeks with his fingers.

"Oww! That hurts!"

He lets go and looks up at the sky.

He smiles, but it seems so forced.

"Is something wrong?"

"My parents..are getting divorced."

"Oh no...I'm so sorry."

"Its alright, its not your fault. I came here to cool off and see your face. Because seeing your face always made me happy whenever I was sad."

"How sweet..."

I glance up at him. 

He looks at me with his vulturous eyes.

He put his hand in my hair and around my neck and slowly moves in.

I close my eyes and felt the touch of warm lips on mine.

After a few minutes we stop.

"Your lips were soft. Did you put something on it?"

"Lip gloss."

"Hmm, maybe I should start putting that on from now on."

"You got to be kidding me!" I punch him.

"I'm joking! I'm joking! Haha! The look on your face."

"When I asked you how long your staying here, you said a while. How long exactly.."

"I don't know. Until pigs fly?"

I widen my eyes.

"Seriously?!"

He smiles first this time.

"Seriously."

"Please take care of my broken heart. And never let me go. Cuz if you do, I will cry like there is no tomorrow."

I bawl my eyes out.

"Thank you, thank you, thank you! I will never, ever let you go! I love you so much! You don't know how much I waited for you to come get me."

"That's great to hear."

He hugs me real close and I hug him the same way back.

"I'm here to stay."

I burrow myself into his chest.

Haaa...the smell of Myungsoo.

Its mine to keep.
