(Taecyeon’s POV) – A month after their first meeting

Yes! The day’s finally come. I can finally start pursuing my dream.

Ever since Taecyeon had met Yoona, his relationship with Suzy had gotten better. They were able to communicate better, and slowly, he was trying to do what Yoona had advised; he was trying to become a big brother to Suzy, not her parent. At first, he had doubted that this would work, somewhere in his mind, he thought that Suzy needed the love of a parent not an older brother. But he’d finally realized that he would never be able to fulfil that role, and that he could only ever really be a good older brother. And now with his latest piece of news, he and Suzy were finally able to forget about the awkward past, and move on with a fresh start. He had gotten paying job in his profession. It wasn’t perfect, but it was definitely a start; a start that would allow him to pay for Suzy’s school, and he could get by with just one of his part-time jobs rather than both. Goodbye coffee shop, no more need to delude myself that you were helping my dream in any way. He thought happily while turning in his resigning letter.

He was headed to the office; his new office. There he would meet his co-worker, and together they would leave to go to the people that he had to write a piece on. Yes, this job wasn’t exactly what he had in mind, but it was definitely a really good start, and it would give him real experience.

He was nervous as he made his way up the building’s 9th floor. Whether he would be able to keep this job or not depended on his first piece, and he felt determined to do the best he possibly could. “Ah, Taecyeon-ssi, you’re here, good. I’m Kim HyunGi, and we have to leave right now. I’ll brief you on what you are to do on the ride there” Taecyeon was in awe at the speed that things were going, his excitement built up with every second that passed. What he gathered on his ride to Chic Designs, was that it was a very successful business built by three young women and that he was to interview them in depth about their life and business for two weeks, which he would then have to write an insightful and meaningful piece on for their magazine.

We’re here already? DAMN! It won’t do to feel nervous Taecyeon. Buck up, you can do this! His body stiffened just slightly as they entered into the small yet lavish office. While HyunGi spoke with the receptionist, Taecyeon’s eyes wandered around the room, and he couldn’t help but notice how well the office was put together. Obviously it’s well put together Taecyeon, that’s what they do. Of course this place is going to show their skills. Damn, I’m going to have to learn as much as I can about this business beforehand, otherwise I’m going to make a fool of myself. I have no clue about the first thing about interior designing.

The receptionist soon led both of the men into a comfortable meeting room, where they were told to wait. Taecyeon’s nerves began to build as they waited. He wondered what sort of people the three women would turn out to be, and he fervently hoped that they would be easy to work with; it was after all his first job.

The door soon opened with two women making their way in; one had a bright welcoming smile, while the other looked somewhat cold and slightly indifferent. Taecyeon couldn’t help but feel that he had seen the two somewhere but brushed that thought as he stood and shook hands with them. “Hi, I’m Kwon Yuri, and this is Jung Jessica, our third partner will be regrettably just a little late” Taecyeon gathered his wits together said “I’m Ok Taecyeon, nice to meet you”.

All four sat down, and soon began to speak comfortably with each other, discussing schedules and timings for the two weeks. Jessica barely said a word, and it began to worry Taecyeon. How am I supposed to interview someone who barely talks, aishh. I hope the third one is as friendly as Yuri-ssi; it’ll make this a whole lot easier. As soon as he completed his thought, the door flew ajar to reveal a woman. Taecyeon’s eyes widened as he noticed who it was. Im Yoona. Damn, this is going to be uncomfortable; I hope she’s forgotten about that night.

“Sorry for being late, I was held up by a client. I’m Im Yoona. Apuro, chal putak hamnida” Taecyeon looked at her intently and when she finally looked at him, he saw her eyes widen just a little in recognition, and then her features went slightly rigid. She gave him a small nod and when he returned it, her features slackened back to naturally friendly. Taecyeon gave a small sigh, because he understood that she didn’t hold anything against him. Well at least she seems to not hate me or anything. I’ve been meaning to apologize to her after that night. Well I’ve got the perfect chance now, and it does seem like she hasn’t taken a disliking to me. But since I know her, even if briefly, maybe my first piece will go smoothly…

Sorry for the late update and the super small chapter, but I promise to try to make the next chapter longer - and filled with better TaecYoon moments.

I am also sorry if the chapter was a little bit dry, but I really didn't know where to take this particular chapter... I will try to make the next chapter more interesting

Also I am a bigger fan of Yoona than I am of Taecyeon, so it's a little easier for me to fantasize about Yoona's character rather than Taecyeon's and I feel like that shows in the story, I feel like my Taecyeon chapters are a little fuzzy, so again I apologise about that.
