Death. Murder. Survivor. The next victim?
Kiss My LoveTears still dripping from her eyes, she ignored the look from others. He had found someone else and so quickly. Maybe, just maybe she was the fool and he was really playing with her. He had been with Cherie before her and maybe during their relationship, Cherie and him were together. She was just a joke. A stupid joke.
“How could you?” she choked out sadly.
Her heart was breaking again. She thought it was getting better after a week hiding in her room but just the sight of him with Cherie made it worst.
“I am a fool,” she choked out.
Her eyes widened when she noticed she had missed her stop. She quickly pushed the button and got out from the bus. She looked at her watch and saw how late it was. Her grandma would be worried.
“Grandma?” she called when her grandma finally answered the phone.
“Sweetheart, why aren’t you home yet?” her grandma asked.
She was about to tell her grandma a lie, just to cover everything like he always did recently but before she could do that, she heart her grandma screaming and shouting names before all was silent.
Her world stopped, literally. Her heart stopped beating at the sound of screaming and shouting. Her grandma sounded angry before turned into a sound of afraid. Could something happen to her grandma?
“Grandma, please be okay. I don’t have anyone else except you,” she cried and quickly ran, not bothering to find a taxi or a bus.
Finally, after running so hard, even almost being hit by a car, she reached the lane to her home. She stopped, taking few deep breaths to cool down before started running again.
“So sorry,” she apologized when she accidentally hit a man.
“It’s okay. It’s okay,” the man said but she was already running toward her home, worried about her grandma.
The man watched her in regret. It seemed like he had not finished his job. However, he could not return to finish it. People would suspect him.
“Next time we shall meet again, young Vicki,” his hand touched the knife in his pocket before he turned to continue his walk toward the car he parked not far away.
“Grandma!” Vicki cried as she rushed into the house. However, her feet froze at the sight of her grandma lying in a pool of blood.
“GRANDMA!”
Her hands cradled her grandma as tears rolling down from her eyes. Grandma had not left her yet, right?
“Sweetheart?” her weak grandma called.
“Grandma? You are going to be alright, right? You can’t leave me alone,” Vicki cried.
Her grandma smiled weakly. Her granddaughter was still a child in her eyes but now, she had to grow up quickly.
“Careful,” her grandma whispered weakly.
“You’re going to be alright. Don’t leave me,” Vicki begged.
“Please be careful. I... love you.”
Vicki’s eyes widened when she felt the last breath of her grandma left the body. Her own heart stopped.
“No. No. NOOOOO!!!!” her world turned black.

He got out from the car and headed toward the house. He nodded his head at his fellow colleagues before followed his boss.
“Two victims. Stabbed to death. Suspect maybe someone they knew. There’s no struggle at the door or window,” a police reported.
“Where’s forensic?” Sammul asked.
“On the way,” Raymond answered before something caught his eyes. “I think the girl is not dead yet,” he pointed to the girl holding onto the older woman who had passed away.
“Maybe fainted. She could be witnessing the murder,” Sammul tapped his chin thoughtfully.
Raymond stepped forward and kneeled to touch the girl’s wrist, looking for the beat and found it so weak.
“Where’s ambulance?” Raymond cried loudly.
“They’ve just arrived outside,” his colleague pointed.
“No time,” he quickly used the skill he learned before he became a policeman and checked for other injuries before made up his mind and scooped the girl up. Then, he realized the blood seeping through the bottom skirt.
“I don’t think she’s hurt. Maybe too shock,” Sammul commented and signalled a man to report everything they had found so far.
Raymond handed the unconscious girl to the paramedic and watched as the men quickly checked her.
“She’s miscarriage.”
Raymond’s eyebrows lifted in shock. This girl seemed to be in school and already pregnant? Girls nowadays were too advance. At least they should use when doing that. He shook his head few times before nodded at the paramedic to bring the girl to the hospital.
“I’ll check back later,” Raymond told them before entered back the house so he could focus back his attention to the latest case.

It was white. It was supposed to be pink. Her room was pink. Even her grandma’s room was painted in pink.
Her shaking hand touched her stomach. Why was it painful? Especially near her...
“Already wake up?”
Her eyes blinked at the sight of a stranger smiling warmly at her. She gave them a puzzled look before looked around the room. This was not her room or her grandma’s room. Where was she?
“You’re at the hospital,” the nurse explained as she checked Vicki.
“Grandma?” Vicki choked out, hoping it was just a nightmare.
The nurse pushed a smile as she scribbled on the board. Then, she pulled the blanket to cover Vicki and patted the patient’s hand tenderly. How could she break the news that this young girl just lost everything? Her grandmother who seemed to be the only relative she had and the unborn baby. Obviously there was no boyfriend because nobody came visiting her.
“Where is grandma?” Vicki asked weakly.
The nurse pushed a bright smile and pretended to check the board again.
“Are you hungry? You haven’t eaten for a week now. I bet you are hungry. I’ll tell the others that you’ve awaken,” the nurse said and walked out from the room quickly.
“Where is grandma?” Vicki choked out but her heart felt something wrong. This could not be. This was just a nightmare, just a dream. Her grandma was at home, singing along Elvis song as she pretended to make sweater. Her grandma was not lying in a pool of bed, breathing her last breath the last time she saw her, right?
“Grandma?”
Her hands clutched her painful stomach as she groaned. Why was her stomach in pain so much?
“Miss Zhao?”
She looked at two men entering the room. Strangers who looked serious and bad. She gulped. Who were they?
“I am Sammul and this is Raymond,” Sammul dropped the formal name and tried to show his friendly expression by smiling but the girl looked even frightened.
“Miss Zhao, firstly, we would like to give our condolence for your grandmother’s death,” Raymond said gently.
“De... death? Grandma died?” Vicki choked out, her face turned paler.
Raymond and Sammul looked at each other before at Vicki. This girl did not know yet about the murder?
“She’s at home. My grandma is at home. She’s waiting for me,” Vicki cried before groaned when the pain struck back in her stomach. What was going on right now?
Sammul nodded at Raymond and the latter took a step forward. They had to be careful not to make this girl trauma. She was the only witness for the murder and if their instinct was right, she was the next victim in the list.
