MinJi felt her body become heavy.

 

 

Kai carried her out into the courtyard, screaming for help.

 

 

"Someone! Please! She's going to die!"

 

 

"Kai calm down!" Suho said as they laid they girl on the ground.

 

 

"C-Calm down?! Hyung! MinJi-" Kai's voice became hoarse, tears stung his dark eyes.

 

 

MinJi lifted a hand an put it against Kai's cheek, wiping away a tear.

 

 

"Kai...." she whispered, her voice lower than a whisper.

 

 

"Kai....I'm okay....You...have...to...find...the one....okay?"

 

 

Her breathing was heavy and ragged, more blood pooled by her side.

 

 

"There's no need for that now."

 

 

All eyes were on the High Elder.

 

 

"You." Kai's voice became deadly

 

 

He reached to strangled the sage but he swatted his hand away with ease.

 

 

"You passed the test my dear." He said to MinJi.

 

 

"Test?" Suho asked.

 

 

He nodded "Only someone with a pure heart would sacrifice themselves for someone they loved.

 

 

Therefore she is the one." He concluded.

 

 

"But then why the hell did you kill her?!" Kai screamed.

 

 

The Elder knelt at MinJi's side and touched her wound with one hand.

 

 

Almost as if time were being turned back,

 

 

all the blood that she had lost went bacck into her body and the eound closed itself.

 

 

"Who said I wanted to kill her? It was only a test."

 

 

Kai breathed a huge sigh of relief.

 

 

"So this means we were right?" Suho asked.

 

The Elder nodded.

 

 

MinJi stood up. "How is it that I can save the world?" she asked.

 

 

"All of you, follow me."

 

 

They followed the Elder and he brought them to a secret chamber,

 

 

that neither Suho nor Kai had ever even known about.

 

 

In the middle there was a stone relic that looked like a mirror.

 

 

"MinJi, may I ask you to stand there."

 

 

She stood right in front ot the mirror like object

 

 

A few seconds passed, then in the mirror looked like a thousand stars in a pitch black portal.

 

 

"What is that?!" Suho exclaimed.

 

 

"That is all the evil in the human world, the light's are people's souls."

 

 

"How would MinJi save them?" Suho inquired.

 

 

The Elder's face became solmn.

 

 

"She would have to let the evil consume her, and destroy it once it's within her soul."

 

 

 

All three were speechless.

 

 

"Will it harm her?" Kai asked.

 

 

The Elder sighed "That my boy, even I don't know."

 

 

Kai turned to MinJi "You don't have to do this."

 

 

Said girl smiled at the concern he had for her.

 

 

"I have to Kai, both you and Suho went through all this to find me and bring me here, and-"

 

 

She wrapped her arms around Kai murmering in his ear gently.

 

 

"I would die a thousand times over if it meant I could protect you."

 

 

MinJi let go of Kai and stepped into the void before her.

 

 

MinJi could feel all the negative energy around her.

 

 

Jealousy, greed, hatred, everything that had tainted her world.

 

 

It envelpoed her, trapping her in it's darkness.

 

 

Then she heard a voice, a voice that held unimaginable power.

If the nameless evil could laugh, MinJi felt it laughing at her.

 

 

Love? What is love?! A trivial thing that fades like everything else.

 

 

It began to seep into MinJi's soul, attempting to corrupt her heart.

 

 

You could have everything you could dream about, if you abide by me

 

 

It showed her everything a human could ever want, right bfore her very eyes.

 

 

"I don't want it." MinJi said.

 

 

Another laugh resonated from the void.

 

 

Child are you a fool? I have offered you everything this universe has to offer, yet you still decline?

 

 

"I don't want anything, execept to be with the people that I love and who love me."

 

 

MinJi felt her own will imposing itself on the nameless evil.

 

 

Slowly, she could begin to see light.

 

 

This is you last chance. The darkness tempted her once more.

 

 

"Leave"

 

 

 

With one word, the void that she dissappeared into dissapated,

 

 

leaving only the light of the good in the world.

 

 

Sudden;y MinJi found herself back in the strange room with the Elder, Suho and Kai.

 

 

They all had a smile on their faces.

 

 

The Elder nodded at MinJi "Well done my dear, well done."

 

 

MinJi smiled back, but fatigue crashed over her body, causing her knees to buckle.

 

 

As she swooned Kai ran over, and caught her, cradling the girl in his arms.

 

 

"We'll leave you two now," Suho said smirking, leaving the room with the High Elder.

 

 

"How did you do that?" Kai asked MinJi, totally amazed at the girl's strength.

 

 

"It spoke to me," she replied "It said I could have had anything in th universe,"

 

 

She smiled up at Kai.

 

 

"But I told it that I didn't want anything else than to be with those I love."

 

 

Kai tucked a stray piece of hair behind MinJi's ear.

 

 

 

 

"I think I can give you that." He said, leaning in and capturing her lips with his.
