Foreword

It was a little after the party that she said Good-Bye to her now drunk friends. She didn't drink any alcohol this time. She was thinking about taking a shortcut but thought it too dangerous at this time. Reluctantly, she chose the longer path.
It was quite impressing the fact that people shopped so late at night. No one was waiting for her at home so window-shopping wouldn't hurt her wallet. There were a few electronic shops, food stands and flower stands closing.

"Beautiful night isn't it…" She said to herself. Sometimes these walks helped her clear her mind, the stress from work sometimes got to her and had been building up. She didn't dance with her friends, not tonight, so a walk will come good for her.
Close to her house was a coffee shop open 24 hours. She decided to go there before going back to her house. "A smoothie will come great”. She said.

After exiting the cafe, she realized few guys were following her. She tried to convince herself that it was just a coincidence and they were going the same way she was. She tried to get home fast. The streets felt lonely; not much people were around. She found it sort of weird because there were a reasonable amount of people around just when she had entered the café.
She kept walking, her steps faster than ever. Now there was no one around and she felt fear overcome her emotions. She feared the worst. And the worst became a reality. Her heart skipped a beat when she felt a hand or two restraining her arms.

The alley was dark, trash scattered on the sides; the smell didn't bother half as much as the fear she felt crawling in her skin. They had caught her outside the coffee shop next to her apartment building. She was so frozen she didn’t even try to scream. She looked around her surroundings and noticed one or two people around. It shook her that they didn’t try to help her. It shook her that society was so careless. A bunch of thugs trying to lay hands on her, trying to steal her and God only knew her fate that night. They will burn in hell if she dies.

They spoke disgustingly of what they would do to her and how the night would end. She wasn't afraid of those clowns. She laughed at them; they weren’t men enough to get themselves a decent companion so they had to forcefully grab a random innocent girl from the streets to satisfy their hunger, so pathetic.

She spat at one of them in his grotesque face and he responded by slapping her. She kicked him and tried to run, but two of them grabbed her before she could get to the end of the dark alley. A flash of light appeared from the very end of the alley. One of them dropped dead on the floor. His blood splashed the left side of her face. She was way too concentrated trying to escape that she didn’t hear the shot, or rather ignored it. She glanced around trying to see the person behind the streaks of light that came from the flashlight, she noticed the figure was slim, the body of a woman.

A second shot was heard. The right side of her face was covered in blood. She tried to clean her face, but she failed her attempt as her hands were also covered in blood. The other guys were stupidly shocked with eyes and mouth wide open.

"Little boys shouldn't play around with big girls." Her hair had a blonde shade decorated with a few black tips, eyes cold as North Pole and formed a devious grin.

"Little girls shouldn't be outside at this time." The leader walked behind the victim and pressed his knife against . "Make a wrong move and she will bleed in your arms."

The victim whispered the woman’s name, the rescuer looked at her and winked. There were many things the leader didn’t know. For example, he didn’t know the rescuer and the victim knew each other, and the rescuer certainly didn’t give a crap. Saving her was her number one priority at that moment.

"Do you wish to end up like the others?" She took a step closer, revealing half of her face. Only the victim knew how she looked, she could recognize that voice anytime and anywhere. "Or do you want me to cut all your skin with that knife?" She aimed at his head. She looked at him fearlessly, with a certain hunger for blood and dead bodies. Revenge was taking a special place in her mind. How could such disgusting people live and walk this world so freely. How could they think about even doing such thing to an innocent stranger? There was no mercy left in her heart.

The last thing he saw were her dark orbs staring right through him. A shot after another. One was meant for him. He fell lifelessly onto the ground a hole decorated his forehead. The victim was now covered in blood from the three bodies on the floor. The walls of the building that surrounded them were decorated with lines of blood. Just a fair reminder of what happened in dark allies.

The rescuer ran towards her. Before she grabbed the victim, she shot the other two guys and the one who had shot the victim in the slip of a moment, ended up with four bullets on his body. "Bastard!!" she yelled at him and shot again in frustration.

"Jes...sica" The victim muttered.

"No, no. Don't die. Wait, let me call an ambulance!" She quickly took her phone out of her right pocket, but the victim had stopped her.

The victim grabbed Jessica’s right wrist. "Jessica, it’s my time." She smiled at Jessica.

"Kim Hyoyeon! Don't you dare die in my arms! We still have a lot to do!" Tears clouded her sight. "Don't you dare leave me alone!" She yelled, her tone defining grief.

"Jess, I spent a wonderful time. I will always be with you." She pointed to Jessica's chest and the tears that ran down her cheek.

Jessica tried to clean the blood on Hyoyeon's face. "Don't you dare." She reached for her phone again and called the ambulance. This time Hyoyeon didn’t stop her. "I'm in an alley I need an ambulance now N.O.W." She gave them the address. More tears streamed down her cheeks, out of her eyes. "Please Hyo, stay with me. Don't close your eyes"

Hyoyeon reached to touch Jessica's face. "Don't forget me." They were the last words she heard before her was crushed by an invisible weight.

“Ahhhhhhhh!” She yell.
