It was hopeless to hope for anything. No one would help you. If you screamed and yelled and cried until your voice was gone, if you were left exhausted and only able to wait. No one would come. He’d learned that the hard way, long ago.

Ah, it's the first angst that I'm putting up... I'm kind of nervous. I think it's pretty raw still, but I'll leave it like this. I hope you still enjoy it.
