Chapter 1 -  The feelings  

Jong In     

She's finally in my arm yet she's not opening her eyes. Her eyes are closed, she's not talking to me, her hand fall from my hand and she no longer is breathing. 

Her hands are filled with the color red, and her white shirt is changing the color to red. Blood are dripping from her stomach down to the dried sands and there's nothing I can do to stop the blood. If only I'm god, if only I have the power of healing, if only I can stop the time, and if only I know how to go back in time.

Will I lose her for forever now? 

What is going to happen to me? To us? How can I live on if she's gone?

Many thoughts is running inside my mind yet I can't answer it. Nobody can unless she can, the person whom I love that is dying in my arm.

4 years ago 

" Jong In ah, " Shin In, the girl who mean so much to me called me. I love her, I do but her voice doesn't flatter me like how it does used to anymore. I don't know, I don't really know why.

" Yes princess? " I try to sound as happy as I can and turn to face Shin In with smile. " Everyone is here, shall we get going? " Shin In came over to me and fix the neck tie bow. I'm sure that it was perfectly fine the way how it is but Shin In, she just have to fix it once again. 

Before I can see everything again, I remember how great and amazing I feel when she's near me. Now? I don't know. Me with the present Shin In here, I feel nothing maybe a little annoyed. The feelings isn't just right.

" Of course, lets go. " I continue to put on the smile and started to walk toward the door until a pair of hand, pretty much belong to Shin In grabbed my arm. She look into my eyes and frown with her head shaking. " Now that my Kai have his vision back, he's forgetting me " She said. " O-of course not. " I nervously shake my head and intertwine my hand with her. 

Deep down inside my heart, I believe I love her, I do but somehow being with her doesn't feel right. 

" I hope so because now a day, my Kai is slowly starting to forget about me. " she sigh and look away from me. Does she want me to comfort her? I've never really comfort her though. Usually she's the one that comfort me. 

" I'm sorry princess. I-I'm just tired from work. Going to be a CEO is not easy. "  Yeah it's not easy anymore because I don't feel like doing anything. 

" I'm sorry. " Shin In from the blue apologize and hug me. Her short height and small arms still feels the same. Only not the same feeling from the heart. 

" I won't accept the apology because you did nothing wrong. Come on, lets get going before everyone is tired of waiting for us. " I put on a smile and walk her out my room to our ride that is waiting for us. 

" Does it take you guys that long to just come down? " Chanyeol open his window from the back seat and growl annoyingly. " Sorry. " Shin In chuckle and enter the van while I waited for her to go in first. " Couples have things to do okay? " I roll my eyes at Chanyeol who is glaring at me like I'm someone he hates." Quit complaining and quit trying to explain, we're already late. " Suho bark into our conversation and close Chanyeol's window. Chanyeol love to complain and Suho just love to bark into conversation and end them. He think he can do that because he's the leader. Leader my . 

" Kai, come on. " Shin In smile at me and give me her hand. Should I take it? Of course. I smile and enter the van with my hand locking with Shin Ins'. 

" Hey Kai, when is it, the day when your father is going to announce to everyone that you will be the CEO of the Kim's Diamond mall, hotels, and you know every other little s.? " Baekhyun ask as soon as I got in the car and our ride start. 

" A month away, why? " I'm serious, this boy, Byun Baekhyun, he love to ask questions even though he already know the answer. " Just making sure. " Baekhyun answer me with a shrug and turn on his phone. Don't tell me that he's going to bring his girls there.  Yes girlS!

" Yeah, tell Sehun that we'll be there soon. Bye. " Suho who I never know was on the phone end his call and sigh. " Who was that? " I turn back and ask curiously. Sehun? Kyungsoo? Where are the 2 of them? I raise my brow and think to myself. " Kyungsoo, he's with Sehun. The two of them are already at the ball. " Suho explain. Good thing he can read from my mind.

" Is it because of me again? " Shin In ask softly and turn to look at me then to Suho. She frowned when no one answer her and turn her away from us. " I-it's not like that, Shin In. Se..Sehun is like because he is annoyed by us. " Suho being the leader, take the first action. " We argue and complain all the time, Sehun..Sehun hates that. " Chanyeol said with a fail excuse. " Sehun is just like that, don't worry. We are the problem and not you. " Baekhyun put on a small awkward smile.

" Say something. " The three guys mouth to me as I remain silent without saying anything. I couldn't think of a word nor anything. " Don't worry, Sehun doesn't hate you. " I said without thinking and squeeze her hand while the guys look at me annoyingly. " Really? Is that all you can think and say? " Chanyeol hissed and raise his hand high, about to smack my head. " We're here. " I quickly said, trying to prevent Chanyeol from smacking me and ruin my hair. I hate it when people touch my hair. 

" Your is just save on time." Baekhyun mutter under his breath and chuckle at Chanyeol and me. 

" Now you all shut up and get out of the before we are late for another hour." Suho bark into Chanyeol and my glare. " Are you ready? " I turn to Shin In and ask her as she smile and give me a nod. " Lets go then my princess. " I give her a smile and open the van door. 

There are lots of cars, and for sure a lot of people will be here. I hope I would get home early and rest. 

Shin In link her hand around my arm as we enter the ball. She give each person that beautiful smile of her and wave to them while I do what I can by smiling. 

" Kyungsoo is over there. " a tap from Suho said and point his index finger at Kyungsoo who's looking around. Next to him, there's Sehun.. He's drinking like usual. 

" Kai ah, there's Mrs. Lee, the CEO of the Shine mall. " Shin In whisper to me and point her index finger to Mrs. Lee. " Go greet her for me and you. I'll go with the guys and check up with Sehun and Kyungsoo. " I whisper back and pat her hand as she smile with a nod and walk toward Mrs. Lee while I walk with the guys to Kyungsoo and Sehun. 

" Finally you guys are here. " Kyungsoo sigh. He must be bored since he's with the cold Sehun. " Bored huh? " I ask with a chuckle.

" Yeah because of some cold . " Kyungsoo roll his eyes and grab a drink from the table. " Sehun, " I smile and call him but he ignore me and turn away from me. I'm not sure what I have done to make him hate me. Does he notice how I was treating Shin In? I hope not because Sehun really love Shin In. No it can't be, Sehun hates her more than me. 

" Sehun, you don't greet the elder like that. " Suho frowned and shake his head at Sehun who can care less. " Where is she? " 'Sehun finally open his mouth and ask. " She? " Chanyeol raise his brow and look around for that she. " Kai's girlfriend. " Sehun said being a little more specific.  " Why? " I ask curiously and raise my brow at Sehun. " None of your business. " Sehun gulp his drink and place the cup back down on the table. " Why wouldn't it be my business when she's my girlfriend. " I ask in confusion as the guys look from him to me. This isn't getting any better.

" Like a honest man, she isn't your girlfriend. " Sehun said and curve his lips to a smirk. Is he enjoying this because I'm not at all.

I still remember that day when the guys visit us and I told them that me and Shin In finally have our night together in bed. Sehun, Sehun was mad. He was really mad that he start shouting at me.

" You slept with her? With her? " Sehun ask with angry voice as his face is turning red from anger. " Yeah, our first time. " I said in confusion because he was angry. Like angry for what? I didn't know. " You better be ing kidding me?! Why the hell would you do that?! Oh Kai, you're up! " Sehun shake his head and punch the wall beside him as everyone stood shock. 

" Sehun, " Suho called with a serious voice. " Chill hyung, I'm just honest. Like everyone say, the truth hurt. " Sehun chuckle and shake his head. " Hey guys. " 5 girls show up from the blue and interrupt our conversation. They are all pretty but none of them caght my attention. " Hey ladies. " Baekhyun being a player was the first one to flirt back. " Are you guys here alone? " The girl with purple hair ask and bite her lips seducingly. " Of course, if we're not here alone then why should we be alone here? " Sehun smirk at the girls and turn to look at me. " You're Kai right? " a girl with black loosely curl hair ask and shyly blush. 

Instead of answering her, I give her a nod and awkwardly smile. " I'm Jo Ashin, why --- " " Kai ah, there you are my prince. " Shin In appear from beside me and tip toe to kiss my cheek. She link her arm around my and smile at Ashin, I think that's her name. Don't tell me that Shin In is jealous. Wait, why would she when she doesn't get jealous for a small things like this? 

" Kai, here's my number. Call me when you need someone to talk to. " Ashin smile and write her name and number on a napkin and handed it to me. " Are you going to introduce me to your friend? " Shin In whisper as I take Ashin's number. " Ashin this is --- " " She's not important enough for me to know. Have a great night Kai. " Ashin wave and walk toward her group of girls. She whisper something to them and make them turn their attention to me and Shin In. They all send me a flirty look and grin before they walk away. 

" Kai ah, who are them? " Shin In ask as her eyes follow them. 

" Not important " I said and take a step ahead of her to stop her eyes from following them. " I don't know them " I said and kiss her forehead. " Okay. " Shin In smile and place her drink on the table. " Kai, I'll be back after I use the restroom okay? " Shin In pat my cheek with a smile and walk toward the girl resroom. 

" Is Shin In jealous? " Baekhyun ask immediately as Shin In left. " I don't know. I hope she isn' because there's no reaso for her to be jealous. " I said and shrug. " Action tells everything. " Sehun click his tongue with a smirk and walk away, to somehwere who knows. 

" Tell Shin In that I'll be back after I grab something. " I turn to Suho and told him as I began to walk out of the ball room. I need some fresh air. 

It is a cold night and foggynight yet the stars are shinning more than ever. The moon is full, it's a beautiful to spend with the person you love. 

I miss gazing at the stars and moon with Shin In, ever since I got my eyes back she doesn't gaze at the sky with me anymore. I miss how she would describe every little details of how the sky look like. 

" Ugh, why is the street so busy tonight? " a complaining voice came ahead of me and groan. A girl? A boy? The voice sound familiar and it sound like a girl. " How long will it take me there? " She ask herself as she walk slowly, carrying 2 big brown box.

" The people here must be partying. Rich people these days that doesn't know how to work or use their money properly. " she hissed and put the 2 brown box on the ground while she stretch her arm and body. Does she need help?

Being kind, I walk toward her and stop my steps once I'm in front of her. " Do you need help? " I ask awkwardly after I clear my throat.

I must have starte her because she jump. " Help with what? " she ask and cover chest with her sweater as I find it cute. " I-I mean carrying the boxes. " I said, trying to be more specific. " Oh...that. You can help me? " She ask.

Under the moon light, I couldn't see her face but I can see that smile of her. It looks familiar and she look sound so familiar.

" Yeah, " I said and bend down to carry 2 of the boxes. " That's not fair. 1 for you and 1 for me. " she smile again and take one of the box from me.

Are they heavy? Of course, they are. I don't know how this girl can carry 2 of them. " To where? " I ask. " Just the next block at the corner. Are you sure that you can help? " she ask me, probably trying to make sure if I can handle. If she can then I can too.

" Yeah if you can then I can too. " I said and shrug. Weird. I already find myself being comfortable around her.

" Don't be so sure about that. Rich guys who do work such as handling with paper works is different from girls handling heavy suff. " She click her tongue and chuckle as it send a weird feelings to me. She really did and it's weird. It's like the feelings when I'm with Shin In, not the Shin In in present but in the past.

" Are you judging between rich and poor people? " I ask in confusion and raise my brow at her as she chuckle again and shrug. " I don't know, you tell me. " she bite her lips and stop walking as we need to wait for the green light before we cross the street. " How should I know ? You think differently from me. " I said and began to cross the street as the light turn green. " Exactly, I think different from you so what you're trying to ask is different from what I'm trying to say. "  She turn to me and smile. Now that we are under the light and I can see her more clear, her smile was beautiful. She caught my attention just like Shin In did in the past even though I never see her smile.

" Wow... you're-you're good with words. " I said and without knowing, my lips had already curve into a smile like how I used to smile for Shin In. 

" And action too. " she added to my sentence with a wink that cause me to smile, maybe more like a chuckle.

 Is it wrong for a taken guy like me to find her fun to be around with? 

" You should always smile, that smile of your is beautiful. " she said and smile. Well, if my smile is beautiful then her smile must be more than beautiful. Wait, what am I thinking? Kai, you're a taken guy, you can't say that to a girl who is a stranger. Scratch that, it's not a problem to  just compliment a girl. 

" We're here. " she exhale and drop the box on the ground as she snap me from my deep thinking. Already? It was fast. " Let me help. " she said and reach her hand to grab the box. While she does that, she didn't notice how I staring at her lips. The moment when her soft hand touches my, I feel my own heart beating fast like how it used to beat. It's weird how I'm feeling like this again because I'm not suppose to, never ever suppose to. Only I can feel like this with Shin In. 

" Well thank you, mister. " she beam and open the door as she called for two employee inside the store to help her. 

" I won't forget how kind and nice you are, mister. Have a great night. " she wave at me with a little bow and enter the store while I smile at her back and turn to leave. 

Is it wrong to feel a little upset because she and me is going on our own way? Yes, yes it is wrong. Sigh, I have my own girlfriend who I have been dating for 6 years. She have been helping me through her 2 years of hardship, I love her. I shouldn't feel like or be like that. I'm a guy, a gentleman, it's impossible for me to feel like this. 

But that girl, her name? I should at least know her name. I stop my track and bite my lips, debating if I should go back and ask for her name. No, because I'm not suppose to do any of that and it'll be weird. Yes, so then whenever I see her again, I can at least greet her? 

Oh Kai, you're insane. I facepalm when I realize that I have already make my way back to the store where she was from earlier. I look inside the store but she was nowhere. Is she gone yet? I wasn't sure so I take an action by entering the store and ask the cashier for her name.

" Is she still here? The girl with 2 brown box from earlier? " I ask as the cashier as she stare at me shyly and bite her lips. " She..she left already. " The cashier said as I slowly nod my head in disappointment and walk out of the store. 

She left already. I sigh and kick the floor. 

Wait, why am I even disappointed? 

I ask myself confusingly and lift my chin up as my eyes wander the place around. 

" I'm walking and you're driving but I got here before you? " a familiar voice ask from ahead and caught my attention as I bite my lips and shift my gaze to where the voice is coming from. " Girl, traffic tonight. " Another female voice answer as I find myself staring inside a truck. God, the window are for sure dark. I squint my eyes for a clearer vision and slowly as that girl with a familiar voice complain, she roll down her window. " Start the truck already. " she said and reach her hand to turn on something. Is she the girl from earlier? I couldn't tell because she was a little far and she's inside the dark truck. " I am, can't you see? " the other girl hiss. 

" Ah, it's hot. " the familiar voice girl said and turn on the light. 

She look familiar, very familiar....

From 1 second to 2 second and 2 second to 3 second, I couldn't help but take each of my step closer to the truck. " I want to rest so bad. " she complain and turn toward my direction. Eyes, nose, lips, cheekbones, and the face shape, I almost lost my balance. " Shin... In? " I raise my brow and stare at her. Why is Shin In in that truck? " S-shin..." I call slowly in surprises as the truck is slowly going away from me. " SHIN IN!. " I shouted in fear as the truck go on its destination. Where is my Shin In going? My heart started to beat crazy and I couldn't help but chase after the truck.

I grab my phone and started to search for Shin In's number but she isn't answering her phone when I call her. I had no choice but to call one of the guys.

" SUHO! " I shout meanwhile I ran. " Kai, why are you shouting? Where are you dude? You're like half of a hour gone. " Suho ask but I didn't have time to answer his question and ask for Shin In. " Where is Shin In?! " I ask and cross the street without watching or caring about cars. They can honk their cars and shout at me but just for them to know, I can care less at this moment. My Shin In is what matter the most.

" Where are you? Are you in trouble and Shin In? She's not here, probably outside, why Kai? " Suho ask me worriedly. Did I just make him worry? " Find Shin In and tell her to stay with you guys. I'm coming. " I shout with my last words as I lost the truck and ran my way back to the ball. 

Why am I worried or scared? Well try to imagine that if you're a guy who came with his girlfriend to a ball but find her a block away in the dark and  in a truck when she is scare to wander alone at night. 

I ran as fast I can and enter the ball room as I storm to the table where the guys were from earlier. " Kai? " Shin In were the first to notice me and ran to hug me. She must have been worried and scare. She buried herself in my arm as I hug her tightly and sigh in relieve. I thought I lost her. I thought she was going to leave me because she couldn't remember my voice when I shout out her name loud. 

" Oh my god, are you okay? " Shin In pull away and palm my face while I nod slowly and pull her for a hug again. " I...I'm sorry if I scare you. " I said as my tears drop. I swear, I feel completely scare when the truck start and she's going without turning back when she have already hear me shout. " N-no, I-I'm sorry for leaving you first. I-I should always be by your side. " She shake her head and caress my cheek and hug me.

I shift my eyes to the 5 guys who is standing in front of me and smile. They can be cold, annoying, and rude but when something is wrong, they are all together and ready to help me. " Are you okay? " Suho ask worriedly as I give him a nod. From one to one, the guys sigh in relieve. 

" You scare us man. " Chanyeol shake his head and grab his drink. " Yeah, I even left my hot girls because of you. " Baekhyun playfully joke but failed. He was too scare. " Kai, you almost give me a heart attack. " Kyungsoo frowned. " You're fine, only that matter. " Sehun roll his eyes and look away. He may pretend to be cold, rude but deep inside I know he must have been really scare. His hand is shaking and he's very soft inside. He's our maknae afterall. He can dislike me but still he can't stop caring about me, our Sehun. 

" I'm okay and sorry. Suho...what did you tell them. ? " I ask curiously and hug my Shin In tightly in my arm. " Something happen to you. Cars are badly honking at the background and people are crazily shouting. You sound very scare. Like you got into some car accident." Suho explain while I just chuckle softly and Shin In's hair. " Some..something crazy happen. " I said and frown at the image of Shin In in the truck. " Man you ruin the mood. Guys, let's go home. " Chanyeol said and place his drink on the table.

" The chauffeur can take you and Shin In, Kai. The rest of us will go with Sehun and Kyungsoo. Get some rest, you guys don't look good at all. " Suho said as everyone nod.

" Kai ah, don't be scare, I'll always be here." Shin In squeeze my hand tight as we headed toward our car. 

Before the crazy night end, I embrace Shin In tightly and once I'm sure that everything is fine, I close my eyes and pray for a brighter day tomorrow.
