“You know, my love story is kind of fixed right now. Yours, well, fix yours. I know, we both know who you love, Ren. You're just ashamed to admit it.” He teased but of course his words made impact to the one in his arms.

“Shut up. Mine hasn't started properly, yet.” The other arrogantly and jokingly replied.

Then the younger of the two broke the hug and hugged Taemin lovingly. No words exchanged, just comfortable silence enveloped the whole room. Taemin and Ren didn’t really have the chance to meet each other within these 5 years, simply because Ren was being introduced to their MAFIA and is doing trips all over the world by himself. He managed to pass college homeschooling, with the help of Daesung, Seungri, and Aron who is helping him through Skype.

Minho cleared his throat then Ren broke the hug with an arrogant huff of air.

“Stop being jelly will you?! It’s not like I’ll take Minnie hyung away from you!” Ren blurted out in irritation.

He hangs out with Key too much. Minho thought to himself; it’s kind of true, but it was worse. Ren was with Heechul during his trips, so yeah….the influence of the one and only Kim Heechul.

“Arasso! Aigoo my dongsaeng is having his man period.” The older Choi commented playfully, but sadly the younger one just rolled his eyes at him.

Nope, definitely not Key; it’s Heechul umma, should’ve guessed faster. Another comment from Minho to himself.

“Whatever, at least I made my time during these 5 years productive.” Ren boasted with his head held up high.

“Please, don’t insert your business. I’m tired listening to Siwon appa and Hae umma. They kept blabbering on the phone with someone.” Taemin pleaded with a crest fallen face. Minho chuckled in amusement, Taemin is still Taemin.

“UMMA!!!” A small voice yelled from the top of the staircase. His pout is evident on his cute, chubby face, with his hands folded on his chest. Minho’s heart skipped a beat when his eyes drifted to the child at the top of the staircase.

Yoogeun runs down the staircase while Taemin runs to his son so that the little bundle of fluff won’t stumble. In an instant Taemin turned back to his motherly self as he scooped Yoogeun and pinched his cheeks.

“What did Umma told you about running especially on the staircase?!” Taemin lightly scolds the toddler in his arms, and then the toddler lowered his head as a sign of sorry.

“No running.” Yoogeun responded with a low voice.

“Why did I tell you not to run?” Taemin pursued to interrogate the toddler in a nice manner.

“Because Yoogeunnie might fall, but Yoogeunnie just did it this one time!” The toddler reasoned with a pout painted on his face like what his Umma used to do when he gets scolded.

“Then why did you violate it today?”

“Because Yoogeunnie is afraid.” The toddler mumbled.

“Of what?”

“That I might not see Appa because he left again.” Yoogeun reasoned with a small voice though Minho heard it loud and clear. His heart aches because of his son’s reply. His son thinks he will leave them again, well he can’t really blame his son, and he was never there when he was born and when he was still in Taemin’s womb.

Taemin looked at Minho then passed Yoogeun to his Appa. Yoogeun stared at his father with big eyes, then the toddler buried his head of his father’s neck. As fast as the toddler did the gesture, Yoogeun pulled away with the same speed. His eyes wandered from his father’s eyes to his jaw line and neck, with curiosity in his eyes, he turned to Ren.

Ren mouthed ‘Appa’ to him then the toddler burst into tears. He buried his face deep in his father’s embrace. Minho pats Yoogeun’s back lightly as he hums a mellow song. The toddler held onto his Appa’s neck tighly not wanting to let go.

“Appa will not leave Yoogeun and Umma, right?” Yoogeun asks as he still holds tightly on Minho’s neck.

“Of course, Appa will stay.”

“Promise?” Yoogeun held his pinky while still hugging his Appa, Minho curled his pinky with his son’s as a sign of promise. He never planned to leave now that he’s back. He’ll stay with his family, with his soon-to-be-wife and son.

“I promise.” Minho said then kissed his kid’s forehead.

Yoogeun stayed in his father’s embrace for the whole day and night. It’s a lovely picture, really. Minho holding a sleeping Yoogeun in his arm with the other intertwined with Taemin’s hand with a white gold ring with a diamond on the center, really a beautiful sight indeed.
