Description
There are people you’ve walked past thousands of times. Don’t you ever wonder what it would be like if you stopped once? Maybe that one time you decided not to smile back, you missed meeting a lifelong friend or someone who could become something more? When she met Kim Jong In, Park Sun Ae realized she should have never smiled back.
So no matter how hard she tries to run away, life (or maybe fate) keeps bringing them together. They both know they shouldn’t. He’s just getting his career as an artist started and she hates the world he’s involved in.
She’s had experience with someone like him and it didn’t end well. Lee Taemin played her like a fiddle and when stardom called he left her behind. He’s a different man now. No longer her childhood friend and first love, but an unreachable star who despite dumping her keeps coming back to her. He refuses to leave her alone. But maybe it’s because she doesn’t know the real reason why he left her behind.
Sometimes though, life has an unexpected way of working things out on its own and if you wait long enough…
….well, life has a way to make all the suffering worth it.

Characters:
Kim Jong In:
Kim Jong In is desperate to debut. So desperate he’s willing to do anything to get those right connections to speed up the process. He is one of the most talented dancers among the trainees. He could make it, but he didn’t know enough people. He only had one friend among those already debuted in SM and that’s Taemin. But there’s only so many things that Taemin could do for Jong In. On top of debut, there’s a girl he can’t get out of his mind. This is dangerous, but he can’t help it. He’s seen sunbaes keep girlfriends, if they can do it so can he.
Park Sun Ae:
Park Sun Ae is the girl next door. Or more accurately, the girl in the apartment below. She has her own past and is trying to make it as a photographer. Everyone tells her to give up because she’ll never make it, but surprisingly enough her childhood friend and jerk of an ex-boyfriend Taemin is the only person that supports her. Even though he’s likely the most maddeningly annoying man ever and he hurt her a lot before, she still sort of cares about him and he won’t leave her alone anyways. She sees no reason to break off their friendship. That’s all it was now anyways.
Lee Taemin:
Lee Taemin is an idol. He dumped his girlfriend Sun Ae when he debuted solely because he wanted to protect her. He knew she wouldn’t be happy having to remain as a secret and so to break things off cleanly he broke up with her in one of the cruelest ways possible. But still, he couldn’t stay away and found excuses to worm himself back into her life under the guise of just being friends. Sometimes he hoped she still had feelings for him, but then there’s his best friend. Someone who’s careless and impulsive, he doesn’t seem to be afraid to put Sun Ae through the things that caused Taemin to break up with her in the first place. Taemin won't let him take her away.
