The PactChapter 31: The Case
“Someone’s in a good mood,” Dasol said, taking a seat next to a smiling Luhan on his sofa. She had been over nearly every day now that he couldn’t ban her from coming inside.
“Mhm,” he replied simply, finding more joy in how clueless she was.
She grinned – was he finally coming to terms with being engaged to her?
His father came walking down, all nicely suited up, but his face was weary and tired.
“Going somewhere, Ba?” He asked with a smile, even though he knew the answer.
His father still didn’t understand why Luhan had been acting so friendly lately, but he decided not to ask questions and just appreciate it. “Today’s the day,” he replied tiredly. “Time to go to court.” The case was probably going to last for days and it was just plain exhausting.
“Okay, I’ll see you later then. I’m sure we’ll win this… right Dasol?” He asked, turning to his fiancée whom he despised.
“O-Of course!” She answered, still not used to his sudden kindness.
He chuckled to himself. How stupid, he thought. She was unknowingly cheering for the wrong side.
Sura watched as the movers hauled in the last box into their new apartment.
“Thank you,” she said with a bow, closing the door after them. She sighed in happiness, plopping down onto their new sofa.
“Well, time to get unpacking, right?”
She nodded with a big grin on her face. Her father stood in front of her, holding up the box labeled ‘blankets.’ Although he was busy as a CEO, he now had the luxury – and money – to come back when he wished.
She cut open the box of pillows and followed after her dad as he made each bed.
