The Last Date
"Oh Niel!! You saw that?!! A shooting star!!"
"Yeah!!" Niel smiled.
"Oh!! Another one now!! Make a wish! Quick!!" and she closed her eyes tightly, concentrating on her wish.
The couple were laying down on the soft grass, holding each other's hands facing the beautiful sky, star gazing.
Niel smiled again after he made his wish and looked back at his adorable girlfriend who was still concentrating on her wish.
"Finished already?" she opened her eyes and saw Niel watching over her.
"Yep. What was your wish, baby?" he asked curiously at her extra long wish.
"Nothing. Just the fact that I could always be by your side."
"Aww! I will always be here!" he gave a cheeky grin.
"Yah! If you leave me, you are dead!!" she chuckled as she joked.
Only if she knew..
"And what did you wish for, babe?" she asked, looking at Niel expectantly.
He smiled.
"I wish I will always be by your side until death pull us apart. Always be there for you."
He muttered truthfully while kissing the back of her palm.
She was touched by his words.
She gave a genuine smile.
"You cheese ball!"
Only if they knew if their wish was granted...
"Hmm..."
"Sure~ your wish is my command, baby." he saluted and they laughed.
"Oh! Be careful... The river is deep and the river bank is slippery.." he warned.
"Yes, daddy." she giggled and ran off followed by a angry 'daddy' Niel.
Suddenly she felt herself on ice..
Slippery ice.
"NIEL!!"
And like the angel heard her call, Niel securely wrapped his arms around her.
"I got you.. Its okay."
He comforted her.
But she pushed herself forward towards water to get rid of her fear.
She couldn't swim.
"Its okay baby.. I'm here.. Relax.." he whispered calmingly.
Slowly she calmed down.
"I thought I was gonna fall..."
She laughed at herself for being like that.
"Hey.. Don't forget!! I'm still here!!" Niel grinned back at her.
"I'm always here to protect you!!" he cheered.
"I wanna sit down Niel.."
"Okay.. Lets sit!!"
And they both laughed at his childish behavior.
"The water is cold!!" she gave a shrill laugh as she dipped her legs into the water after rolling up her jeans up.
"But it's still good~" He laughed with her and splashed some water at her face.
"Yah!!" she screamed as cold water met with her warm skin.
And vola!
A cold water fight erupted.
Both the sides protected and ducked the attacks as they sprayed and splashed water to each other.
Wet and drenched, they both gave up finally.
It was really cold.
"Kaja. Lets go and get ourselves warm.. I have blanket in the car."
"Yeah.. Come on." And
"Oh !!"
Niel suddenly stood up to catch in time.
But alas!
The rocks on the edge of the bank gave away.
There they fell..
Into the deep dark water..
The breath squeezed out by the ice cold water.
