Jongin Says You're Never Coming Back

In a world where beauty is revered and time does not stop for the important moments, Kyungsoo grieves for what was taken away from him. Love came to Do Kyungsoo in the form of a cheeky twenty-year-old guy with eyes like stars, and hands like the pearly craters of the moon what with its dents, and remarkable creases. His name is Byun Baekhyun. And the light went out of Kyungsoo's life when he found Baekhyun's body slumped against a large rock beside a river. 

"He's gone," Jongin says, but Kyungsoo isn't too sure if that's what he really said. There's something on his ears, something that prevents him from hearing the obvious. Kyungsoo wishes that his vision would turn black too, so that he won't have to stand still as Jongin tows Baekhyun's body into the river as if it weighed like feathers. 

He can't remember how they ended up here, how they arrived. All he knew was that they recieved a call about Baekhyun, telling them to go to this place and here they were; ragged and anxious. Kyungsoo's lips are quivering. Jongin kept on mumbling about what they should do; whether they should report this to the police or call an ambulance or something. Kyungsoo knows that if Baekhyun was still alive, he would have found those things unecessary. Baekhyun's position was too unnatural to be okay. 

"Put him to the river," Those were the only words that Kyungsoo said. Baekhyun loves the water, he once told Kyungsoo that if possible, he'd build them a house beside the sea so that they can wake up to the sound of the waves kissing the shore. Everything seems funny now, as if they were words spoken by another person in another universe. 

It's three in the afternoon, and Baekhyun was supposed to be in Kyungsoo's house by now. But fate kept on being its sick self, deciding that Kyungsoo needs to experience something like this by stealing the most important person he's ever known. Jongin sucessfully drags the bloody Baekhyun in the cold water. 

When the current flowed stronger, Baekhyun's body glided away, taking Kyungsoo's heart with it.

But here's one thing that they didn't know as they left the swampy opening: Byun Baekhyun isn't dead yet. 

And that it would take a man named Park Chanyeol to discover him.
