The Sixth Letter
Letters to Chen
Dear Chen,
I did some research. Apparently there are three main ways to process certain emotions such as anger:
One is to be expressive. It most likely means that you should be respectful to yourself and others.
The next is to be suppressive. The aim is to inhibit your anger and convert it into more constructive behavior.
The last is to be calm. This means that you have to take steps to lower your heart rate and let the feelings subside.
Merry Christmas,
Yoojin.
Dear Yoojin,
You amuse me sometimes. You actually did some research!
Anyways, I do agree with these points, but how about the other emotions?
Stress and depression. How do we deal with these common feelings?
Whenever I experienced those, I only went with the flow and made time heal all my wounds.
Certainly though, there must be a way to heal those emotions more directly?
Postscript - Merry Christmas to you, too,
Chen.
