Feel This

Description

She was probably the most unfortunate and unluckiest girl he had ever known. Her parents were gone, along with her grandparents, and her dog had recently died from old age. Because of her baggage, her friends were few, and there were many that disliked her because she did get so much sympathy from everyone. Even so, Yun Ju still managed to place a bright smile on her face for everyone. As if nothing bad had ever happened, she continued to act how she normally would, joking around and pulling aegyo whenever the time called for it. Everyone seemed to buy into it and believed that Yun Ju really was okay.

Everyone but Daehyun.

Foreword

"You're always smiling..." The blonde murmurred, his eyes soft.

Yun Ju tilted her head, her ever-present grin gracing her lips as she shut the refrigerator. "Can't I? Is it really so weird?"

"It looks tiring." Placing the cake on the countertop, the eighteen-year-old nodded as she contemplated his observation.

"Well, my cheeks do start to hurt after a bit..."

Daehyun shook his head at her response. "That's not what I meant."

The brunette tilted her head again. "Then what did you mean?"

"Smiling, laughing, acting like everything is okay even though it isn't," He locked eyes with his best friend. "It looks so tiring, and so lonely, too."

Yun Ju noticeably stiffened at the teen's words, her smile falling and her lips straightening before she smiled again and shook her head at him. "Everything is okay, Daehyun."

Daehyun shook his own head at Yun Ju, bringing his hand up to cup her cheek and wipe at the skin with his thumb. She watched him, curiosity evident in her eyes.

"Then why are you crying?"
