Where You Encounter Destiny (Kikwang One-Shot)

Where You Encounter Destiny (Kikwang One-Shot)

*At Night around 9PM*

I plopped onto my small bed in my most expensive apartment that I was forced to get in Seoul Korea. If I hadn't gotten this apartment, I would have been forced go back to my small town life and never really get the education and experience I needed to survive in the world.

I sighed looking up at my giant ceiling.

Suddenly, my ringtone rang "Can U Smile" indicating that it was my dongsaeng and close friend, Mimi. I rolled onto my side as I lazily grasped the phone and slid the answer key to answer. "Yobeosaeyo?"

"Unnie!" she excitedly answered.

"Uh~ You made it home safely?" I couldn't help but grin, her happy energy is even contagious over the phone. She answered with a happy 'neh~'. "Like you always say, Umma, you always make sure if I made it home or not. And here I am!" I laughed. "Yah! I only care, like a mother would, araso?"

"Neh~ Agasimida, unnie," Mimi said, using the appropriate title for me. I smiled as I laid right back on my back. "So you're really gonna wake up early tomorrow to go meet up with that girl?" she asked me as I tiredly sighed. "Well I have to, I have to get my things from her. There seems to be no other way," I answered, not wanting to think about the girl.

The girl we were talking about was someone that had agreed to sell me a good conditioned SHINee repackaged Album along with a body sized poster for about 30,000 won. But we haven't been able to meet up since this girl had said "she had no time to meet up" even though her boyfriend went to the same university as I did. I felt that she was just taking my money. To the point where I was will to meet her at her house and to receive my good. A KPOP fan must get her hands on promised KPOP things, am I not right?

Now back to the story.

"Well, unnie, will you be okay? It's about an hour and a half away from where you live," Mimi showed some concern to me, since I haven't really ridden the bus by myself. I was someone that refused to go anywhere outside of campus. Now, here I was about to go against my own limits. I sighed once more, "Dongsaeng-ah, I could do this. I already looked up the earliest bus route to meet her."

"It better be worth it! You sure you don't want me to deal with her and my sound proof room?" she sarcastically offered. I laughed, "You know you're scary sometimes."

"Hey! I just want my unnie to be happy!" Mimi shouted into the phone. I couldn't help but laugh some more. Then my phone beeped, indicating that there was someone else on the other line. I frowned when I see the name, "I gotta go. It's the girl."

"Araso...you better be safe! If I hear nothing from you before noon I'm going after the girl!" Mimi threatened. I reassured her that I was going to be okay and then hung up on her to answer the girl's call.

Then we arranged our promised time, which was 9 AM. She had promised to be awake by then. And so I held her up to that. After ending the call, I had set my alarm to be 6AM, because the earliest bus won't get near my place till 7AM. I wanna make sure I won't miss the bus. Like Mimi said, it was going to be an hour and half bus right. I can't miss something like this.

*Early Morning at 7:30 AM*

Wahhhh I just survived my first bus ride out to the transfer center. But I can't miss the next bus. I looked around, as I had my arms wrapped around my body to keep myself warm. Aish, how could I be so dumb to be wearing capris in this weather?

I looked around the scary looking transfer center. So many unknown faces, that looked unfriendly as well. Then I saw someone that kinda caught my attention, but I didn't want to be noticed, since I felt like I was creeping on him.

He was zoned out looking around as he caught some glimpses of me as well. I looked away, as if I was really looking around for the bus rather than looking at him specifically.

Just when my bus as drove in front of us, I stood up and so did he. I quickly got in front of the bus, and right when they opened the doors, I forgot to check if it was the right bus or not. I pulled away from the bus line that was starting to form behind me and opened up my phone to get my bus schedule out to ask the bus driver for help.

I looked behind myself constantly to make sure that I wouldn't hold up on anyone when I ask for help. Turned out I was last, which was good.

Once I had reached to the bus lady, I held up my bus schedule and asked her if this was the bus that led me to my destination, which was the seller's house. She nodded and I smiled widely, giving her all my thanks for the help and looked on the bus for seats.

I noticed that all the seats in the back were taken up. Actually, most of the seats were taken, all except two seats: a middle seat between a big guy and a creepy looking dude or the seat that was right next to the guy that I had eyed. I took my chances and went up to the guy that I eyed often and asked him "Um...can I sit here?" I kindly asked.

"No," he said, with a dead serious face. I frowned, completely shocked and totally dejected. Then he grinned and laughed, "I'm just kidding, go for it!"

I was so close to smacking him in the arm, but didn't want to scare him away. I don't smack anyone unless they're a close friend of mine or someone I've known for a while. I'm not sure why I suddenly wanted to do so...

Then I zoned out to my music and pretended to not want to talk to him. But really, I was amazed that I was able to sit next to this handsome creature.

At one point, before the bus started back up to drive, the guy next to me started to talk to a random person on the bus and had a long conversation about what he had liked and started to name a few animes he really liked.

Right when I pulled out my earphone, I started to listen into the conversation, as I was intrigued at how he was so talkative in the morning.

"Who has seen 'Dragon Ball Z" before? Anyone?" he asked the whole bus, expecting everyone to say something, but no one did. "Oh I guess not," he dejectedly said looking down a bit. But before he went back on talking about Dragon Ball Z, I had slowly raised my hand up, making him look back at me and smiling widely. I shyly smiled then put my hand back down, earning a few chuckles on the bus.

As he continued to talk, he couldn't help but introduce himself to the unknown stranger, that doesn't seem to give any crap about what's he talking about. "Oh! Sorry to be rude, but what's your name? I'm Kikwang!" he happily introduced himself. The unknown guy had introduced himself to him and the guy next to me, now known as Kikwang, laughed. "Okay, now that you know my name, please don't be afraid to tell me to shut up. I tend to let myself talk a lot. I'm just trying to keep myself awake to make it home." The unknown guy understood and looked up showing that he had to get off. "Nice meeting you man," Kikwang had said to the stranger as the stranger had said his goodbyes as well.

Kikwang then looked over at me and smiled, "He was a nice guy, don't you think?"

I nodded, "Yeah he was. I find it amusing that you actually kept up a conversation with a stranger."

He laughed, "Well, if anything I was the only one talking. I'm only talking a lot to keep myself awake."

"Ahhh, I see..." I trailed off, unsure if I should ask him why he was sleepy. We both went into silence. I didn't want to seem awkward so I looked at the bus route on my phone, making sure I wasn't lost or anything.

I looked out the window, feeling my eyes go wide. OH GAH! WAS I SUPPOSED TO GET OFF HERE!? WHERE DO I EVEN GET OFF AT? I had asked myself these questions silently.

"Umm..." I poked to Kikwang, who had kept his eyes on my phone. But I didn't pay too much attention to that detail. He looked up at me, "Do you know where I'm supposed to get off at? I feel lost."

"Lemme see," the young attractive guy looked over at my phone closely now and looked out the window. "Hmmm where are you exactly trying to get to?"

"Um...to *inserts destination*," I said. "Hmmm..." was all he said.

"Miss, I think you would get off after a few stops after this one. I know where it is," a kind older man had offered his assistence.

My eyes brightened a bit, causing Kikwang to chuckle to himself. The older man nodded.

Then another passenger answered being definite. I smiled as half the passengers offered their assistence to helping me to my main destination. "Kamsahamida!" I thanked everyone as they smiled and nodded back towards me.

Then it went back to silence.

I looked at my phone as I texted to Mimi my experience just now. I felt relieved to have so many people helping me out.

"Whatcha doing?"

I looked over next to me, seeing that Kikwang was truly interested as in what I was doing. I raised an eyebrow, causing him to awkwardly cough to himself. "Sorry, I'm just bored."

I laughed as I smiled widely, "Don't worry, man. I'm on the same boat as you."

"So where are you heading to?" he asked out of curiousity or just to fill the awkward air between us. "Not to be like a creeper or anything. But are you live in an apartment or house or something a long those lines?"

I yawned tiredly as I stretched a bit. "I don't live in this part of town."

"Eh?" he asked shocked. I looked up, "What?" Then I realized what I had said, "Oh! Haha, I hope you didn't think I lived in this part of town."

"Then where are you from?"

"I actually live in the apartments on campus of Seoul University. I'm a student there!" I happily answered.

His jaw dropped a bit, "Then what the hell are you doing here?"

I sighed, "I'm heading to a friend's place to pick up stuff that I had bought from her and now here I am picking it up from her. I woke up early for this too!"

"Wow, really?" he was amazed. I gave him a tired smile.

"Yeah what else can I do? She can't come bring it to me since she seems busy, so why not go grab them myself?" I shrugged, changing the song on my iPod.

Kikwang revealed his pearly whites at me as he patted my shoulder, "You're a good friend. She must be thankful to have a friend like you."

"Yeah sure I am..." I trailed off. In the back of my mind, I just thought the girl wasn't like a good friend of mine. Sigh, this better be worth it. I guess this bus ride wasn't so bad. I met this really cute guy.

"So you know Dragon Ball Z, huh?" I asked, leaning in my chair, trying to look calm and cool. Kikwang nodded. "Then you must know other animes too, am I not right?"

He thought about it. Maybe he doesn't want to share his thoughts, maybe he thinks I'm weird.

Then Kikwang grinned, "I actually do. I like the old school animes. I tend to watch a wide variety as well!"

"Really? What are some of your favorites? Mine is..." I began to list some animes I liked and he agreed they were good.

As the bus ride progressed, we went from talking about anime to talking about our lives. Then suddenly the older man that had helped me earlier had interrupted.

I looked up at the mister, "Miss, this is your stop! It's what you requested right?" I looked out, OMO! Is this the place? "You should get going miss."

I frowned, I didn't want this convo to end. "Do you have a twitter I could follow you on?"

"I do, but it's hard to find me, why don't you let me follow you instead?" I offered as he agreed.

"What's your name?" he asked me for my name. I smiled, as I stood up in a rush. I can't make the bus driver wait long for me. "I'm Park Yunhee!" I finally formally introduced myself. "What's your's?" I asked, pretending I didn't hear his name from earlier.

"I'm Lee Kikwang. Here's my twitter!" he handed me a piece of paper with his twitter address.

"I'll add you once I get back home!" I called out to him. "Bye, Lee Kiyong!"

"It's KIKWANG!! LEE KIK-KWANG!" He called out to me, sounding out his name! I laughed, "My bad~ BYE LEE KIKWANG!" I hopped off the bus, as I waved at the bus, indicating my thanks to each and one of them for their help.

But who knew that after meeting Lee Kikwang could mean so much more in the future.

Let's see what happens after meeting the unique Kikwang.
