Childhood friends who grew up together.

So young and in love with him,but never did i dare to confess how i feel about him. He made me promise for us to be bestfriend forever and for whatever happens we'll be there for each other.

One day,in my first year of high school, i had to leave Korea when my dad got an offer as a good job in USA. It was heartbreaking to leave him,the guy who brightens my everyday life. The night before i leave the country, we meet at our favourite spot - the park,where we often go to play at its playground and talk just about everything. Usually our elder sisters would tag along but since they prefer to visit each other home to chitchat,its usually us two plus its just near to our school.

"You will write to me every week right? I'll be waiting for your letters okay?Here take this" he said as he hands me a present. I open it,it was a necklace shape of stars. I looked at him and smiled "I love this" "Look i have a matching one too" He said,showing his necklace. "This necklace will be our friendship symbol,so where ever you go you will remember me!" He said with a big smile on his face. Sigh i dont know how will i ever survive without seeing that smile in USA. "Seunghyun ah... Thank you so much hehe" a small tear came out from my right eye. "Yaaaa.. why are you crying? I'll be protecting you from any harm with this necklace okay?" "ITS NOT THE SAME OKAY??!!" more tears came out. He help wipe off my tears with his sleeve "Aissh,such a baby as always." I keep quiet and said "You'll wait for me to come back right?" "Aiggoooo Hyemi,of course i will. You're my special friend...i definitely wait for you" I look at him and smile but the thought of him saying 'friend' kinda hurt my heart a bit. "Hahaha yaaa,you'd tell what ever is going on with school okay? and and.....IF THERES ANY GIRL YOU LIKE YOU MUST TELL ME OKAY? OR ELSE I WILL NOT BE YOUR FRIEND ANYMORE" i blush abit and look away from him. "Sigh for a thousand time YES! Honestly sometime i think you don't trust me" He pinch my arm. "Owww! That hurt" I frowned and kick his leg but missed. "Hahaha hurry up and grow taller while i'm not around" i when back to silent. It was quiet and Seunghyun oppa was humming my favourite lullaby that i once sang to him when we were in Jr. High. And the night end just like that.

The next day my relatives and Seunghyun oppa family came to bid us farewell. I keep holding my tears back. When i take my last step to enter the Airplane,i turn around and look back at Seunghyun oppa. "HYEMI AAHH! COME BACK SOON UNDERSTAND! I'LL WAIT FOR YOU!" he scream,smile and wave at me. I smile and said "I KNOW!" and said to myself "Oppa...you should know how my heart feels by now.." As i enter the Airplane,my tears start to overflow. My sister Yuri wave at me from our sit,as i reach her she said "Yaa have you told him yet?" "No" She widen her eyes and said in a whisper "Whaaaaaat..." "Unnie,you'd know how it feels if you were in my shoes" She smiled and was trying to cheer me up "Aish,ya how come is my little sister be mature in this than her unnie aa? hehehe.. Hyemi,trust me you'll have your chance to tell him one day okay?" I smile and hug her "One day hehehe" 

I think to my self "3 years...it won't be long.I'd definitely tell him by then"
