A limousine drove to the entrance of the academy, capturing the attention of many students.

Sunggyu stepped out of the front seat, his handsome looks earning screams and cheers from the crowd. He opened the back door of the car and stepped aside so that the person could alight.

Myungsoo stepped out of the car and adjusted his uniform. He turned to the crowd that was starting to gather and smiled. At the sight of the charming smile, many girls immediately turned into fangirls and started screaming.

“Have a good day, young master,” Sunggyu had whispered softly.

Myungsoo smiled at his attentive body guard and took his school bag from him.

Sunggyu watched as Myungsoo walked into the school compounds, still feeling a little uncertain. Attacks could come at anytime from anywhere. Was it really a good idea to leave Myungsoo as it is? Still feeling worried and paranoid, Sunggyu decided to patrol the school compound.

“Where the hell do you think you’re going, Nam Woohyun?” His best friend’s voice stopped Woohyun right on his tracks.

Woohyun spun around to see the mischievous grin on Sungyeol’s face.

“Sungyeollie, come on… I told you what happened. Won’t you just cover for me this time, please…” Woohyun started showing off his aegyo and begged Sungyeol to help him.

 “What’s it going to be this time? Stomach ache? Diarrhea? Headache? Or the most believable one: your grandma passed away?” Sungyeol sighed.

“I’ll trust you to think of something,” Woohyun ignored the sarcasm in his best friend’s voice and hugged him. Then, as swift as the wind, Woohyun disappeared down the staircase.

Woohyun snuck around stealthily, making sure no teachers or students saw him. He managed to get to his secret passageway unnoticed, as always. Woohyun first threw his bag over the tall wall and then started scaling it.

When he reached the top of the wall, Woohyun cursed. The bush that always helped to cushion his fall was gone.  It was a really tall wall. If anybody fell from here, the possibility of being carried into the hospital with broken bones was high. But Woohyun wasn’t just anybody. He had come so far. He definitely wasn’t going to give up now.

Woohyun pushed himself off the wall and braced himself for the impact, shutting his eyes shut. However, there was none. Instead, Woohyun felt a pair of warm and strong arms embracing him.

“Hey, you’re not sleeping beauty, you know,” Woohyun heard a deep and low voice.

Woohyun opened his eyes only to see a charming face and warm, brown orbs staring right at him. Woohyun, with fast reflexes, got to his senses quickly and broke away from the man’s embrace.

“So…Sorry,” Woohyun blushed slightly. “And thanks a lot.”

The man smirked a little and responded, “Well, you can be sleeping cutie.”

Woohyun’s cheeks became redder as he averted his eyes from the handsome guy.

Sunggyu had been patrolling the school compound and he didn’t come across anything suspicious.

‘Maybe I’m too paranoid,’ He thought to himself.

Suddenly, he spotted a bag falling from the wall just in front of him.

Sunggyu went over to take a look and before he knew it, a figure came falling from the wall too. Not knowing how to react, Sunggyu just caught the figure.

Sunggyu looked upon the person that he caught. He had iet-black hair, long eyelashes, snow-white skin and plump lips. His eyes were tightly closed, as if waiting for something to happen.

Sunggyu couldn’t help but teased the guy, “Hey, you’re not sleeping beauty you know.”

The guy immediately opened his eyes and met Sunggyu’s ones. Those clear and innocent eyes were something Sunggyu had never seen before and it made his heart skipped a beat. Before Sunggyu could react, the guy had snuggled out of his embrace.

The guy turned away and picked his bag from the floor and dusted it. Then, he hesitantly nodded his thanks and moved away from Sunggyu.

“Wait!” Sunggyu couldn’t help but call out to the leaving guy. The guy immediately spun around to face Sunggyu, as if he was waiting for Sunggyu to call him.

Sunggyu didn’t know what to say as an awkward silence held between them.

‘Why did I call out to him?’ Sunggyu mentally cursed himself for putting them in such an awkward position.

Sunggyu slowly walked towards the guy, trying to fill the silence.

“What’s a kid like you doing playing truant?” He finally managed.

“A kid?” Sunggyu watched as the guy’s eyes widened. “I’m not a kid. And I don’t think you’re much older than me. Plus, it’s not your business whatever I do.” The guy’s voice turned cold.

‘Wow, the kid has a feisty temper too,’ Sunggyu thought.

With that, the guy turned around and continued walking.

‘What’s his problem calling me a kid?’ Woohyun thought.
 ‘And playing truant? I’m not some 3-year old kid,’ Woohyun started grumbling.

“Hey kid…” Woohyun spun around to see the guy still following him.

“Stop calling me a kid. I have a proper name called Nam Woohyun,” Woohyun shouted back.

‘! Did I just give him my name?’ Woohyun mentally chided himself.

The guy snickered behind, still following behind Woohyun.

“Stop following me, mister. Are you a e? Stalking kids?” Woohyun rebutted, sarcasm dripping from his tone.

“I’m not a mister, neither am I a e. I’m just a kind and sensible adult who is trying to guide a young teen back on the right path,” The voice answered.

Woohyun snorted.

“So, Nam Woohyun, where is it that you are so eager to go that you’ll even skip school without permission?” The guy had asked.

“It’s none of your business,” Woohyun replied coldy, slapping himself mentally for thinking that this stalker was hot earlier.

“Is that so? Then you won’t mind me following you right? I just happen to be heading this way myself too,” The stranger had responded smoothly.

Woohyun ignored him. He was convinced that this guy was either mentally ill, or just crazy. Oh wait. Did the two mean the same thing? That confirms it. This guy was indeed mentally ill. He’s crazy.

Sunggyu didn’t know why he was following Woohyun. This wasn’t what he was supposed to doing, he knew in his mind. However, his body and legs came on moving with Woohyun’s and his eyes wouldn’t leave the young man.

Then, Woohyun stopped, threw his bag somewhere near and collapsed on the green, lush grass.

Sunggyu scanned the area. Without knowing where he was going, he followed Woohyun up a small hill. Up on this hill, it was like a meadow. Green grass was the only thing he could see and the scenery spread all the way. A cool breeze blew past, carrying the smell of the grass. It was so relaxing and peaceful here.

Sunggyu turned back to the lying Woohyun. Woohyun had his eyes tightly shut and a smile etched on his face. He looked so blissful that Sunggyu couldn’t help but smile with the guy.

Sunggyu lowered himself to Woohyun’s level and lay down beside him.

“Nam Woohyun, what are you doing?” Sunggyu asked, curiously.

Woohyun’s expression turned into a frown.
“Waiting for someone,” He finally replied.

“Waiting for wh…?” Sunggyu wanted to ask.

However, Woohyun suddenly sat up and Sunggyu got a shock at Woohyun’s sudden movement.

“He’s late!” Woohyun pouted.

Sunggyu grinned at the Woohyun’s sudden outburst.

‘He was indeed a kid,’Sunggyu thought. And yet, that childish side of Woohyun brought so much peace to Sunggyu. It was something that Sunggyu never experienced before and he was envious of Woohyun’s innocence.

“Who are you waiting…?” Sunggyu started to ask but was cut off once again by Woohyun.

“Master Hoya!” Woohyun had jumped to his feet and greeted the oncoming figure.

“Master? Hoya!?” Sunggyu almost shouted in disbelief as he watched the fit figure approaching him.

“Sunggyu!” The newcomer had smiled at the sight of the bodyguard. “What are you doing here? Aren’t you supposed to be accompanying Myungsoo to school?”

Sunggyu still couldn’t believe his eyes. “Accompanying? What am I? Some kind of babysitter?” Sunggyu commented.

“And wait! Then, what are you doing here? Aren’t you supposed to be watching the house?” Sunggyu had asked back.

“I’m not some guard dog you know!” Hoya replied.

“Wait!” Both Hoya and Sunggyu was taken aback by the sudden outburst from the bystander.

“You two, know each other? Woohyun asked, in disbelief.

“Know?” Hoya snorted, latching an arm on Sunggyu’s shoulder. “I’m this guy’s only friend!” He announced with pride.

Sunggyu raised his eyebrow at Hoya’s acclamation. He removed the younger’s arm from his shoulder and started, “And how do you two know each other?”

Hoya started thinking seriously. “Hmmm…”

“He’s my master!” Woohyun suddenly shouted.

“What?” Sunggyu had a totally surprised expression.

Hoya’s stomach suddenly growled. “Oh right! Woohyun, let’s not worry about such pointless stuff? Have you brought them?” Hoya started acting like a small kid and pranced around Woohyun, excitedly.

“As you ordered, Master,” Woohyun went over to his bag and brought out boxes and boxes.

Hoya’s grin widened as he opened the boxes to reveal delicious-looking food and a mouth-watering smell.

“I’m tucking in!” Hoya declared as he started devouring the food in the boxes as Woohyun looked patiently at a corner.

“What’s going on here, Hoya?” Sunggyu demanded to know from the ravenous Hoya.

Hoya stopped a moment between his bites and whispered to Sunggyu, softly enough so Woohyun couldn’t hear them.

“Well, apparently, I’m supposed to teach this guy how to fight. He saw me once when I was carrying out Myungsoo’s orders and practically begged me,” Hoya tried to explain.

“What?! You’re giving lessons? That’s definitely against contract orders!” Sunggyu blurted.

“I didn’t want to too! But… he cooks such great and sumptuous food! How am I supposed to say ‘no’? You know I can’t say no to food!” Hoya continued before tugging into his delicious feast again.

Sunggyu watched the guy in disbelief. Something has gone seriously wrong with Hoya’s mind. Teach a teenager? How to fight? This was definitely against the law or something.

Sunggyu sent Woohyun a weird look, not understanding his thoughts.

“What?” Woohyun had caught Sunggyu sending him weird looks and asked.

“You got a problem with that?” Woohyun continued.

Sunggyu looked at him disapprovingly and shook his head.

“Why would you want to do this kind of violent stuff? Kids like you should be in school studying and preparing for exams,” Sunggyu nagged, his conscience tugging at his heart. He felt like he was leading a kid astray.

“Stop treating me like a kid! And it has always been my dream to be a bodyguard!” Woohyun announced.

Sunggyu shook his head once again.

‘What had Hoya done to pollute his mind?’ Sunggyu wondered.

“I’m stuffed,” Hoya patted his belly that had increased in volume. His expression held satisfaction and happiness.

Now, it was Woohyun’s turn to smile.

“So can we start now, Master Hoya?” Woohyun immediately asked, sweetly.

Sunggyu just snorted at the sudden change of attitude and averted his eyes.

“Sure sure!” Hoya, now satisfied, decided to return the favour.

“Today, we’re going to work on your concentration. Here!” Hoya handed him some needles.

“Have you played darts before?” Hoya asked and Woohyun nodded.

“It’s just like that. But this time, your target’s the tree and your darts are the needles,” Hoya explained, showing Woohyun the small target that he had marked earlier on the tree.

Sunggyu just yawned as Hoya showed Woohyun how he needed to have concentration.

Woohyun started trying; however, things weren’t going so smoothly. The needles were too weak and couldn’t withstand the wind’s strong blow. It couldn’t even make it near the tree, let alone the small target.

“Grrrr! This is hard,” Woohyun was starting to lose patience.

“If you don’t even have that amount of patience, I advise you to stop dreaming and return back to school,” Sunggyu yawned again, laying himself down on the green grass.

“Shut up! I’m going to do this!” Woohyun started trying even harder.

“Concentration’s the most important if you really want to be a bodyguard. You’ll need concentration for everything. Shooting the gun, escaping from your enemy, protecting your master, everything,” Sunggyu continued.

Woohyun was starting to get annoyed with Sunggyu’s speech.

Sunggyu went up to Woohyun and took a needle from him.

Suu. The needle went flying swift and strong and attached itself deeply into the tree trunk, right in the middle of the target.

Woohyun watched Sunggyu in disbelief.

Hoya clapped in amazement. “Even your master I can’t do the right in the middle thing.”

Sunggyu just shrugged like it was no big deal and went back to his original spot.

“Don’t worry about it. That man there is a genius. He’s been training for more than 10 years. You won’t expect less from the youngest bodyguard of the leader of the Gen clan,” Hoya patted Woohyun’s shoulder upon watching the teen’s serious and threatened look.

Woohyun didn’t reply and just had that solemn look on his face.

“Oh wait, Sunggyu, don’t you think you should be going to fetch Myungsoo soon?” Hoya started to ask the overly-relaxed bodyguard.

Sunggyu’s eyes widened. Then, his handphone started ringing, earning him the looks of both Woohyun and Hoya. Sunggyu took a look at the text and stared seriously at Hoya. “We have a problem.”

Upon hearing that, both Sunggyu and Hoya had a solemn look on their faces and they rushed back to the school at lightning speed, leaving the clueless Woohyun who followed them.
