"Appa...I have something to tell you." Kyuhyun, on his 18th birthday seriously come to his dad in his office at home. It was the night
after his birthday celebration being at legal age. Yes, he can already go to movie theatres and watch R-18. He can already purchase
alcohol in convenient stores without anyone questioning his age. He can already smoke cigar in front of the elderly. He can already
come inside brothels if those things still exists. He can already read M-rated fanfictions. But that's not what he wants...

Choi Appa looked at him with a smile. He is proud of his son. Kyuhyun, is already 18. He'll be entering college in no time and he'll be
studying in SMU...if not the National University of Korea. He promised to give the magnae anything that he wants for his birthday
this year. He is of legal age anyway.

"So have you thought of what gift you'd want to receive?" he asked readily.

Kyuhyun looked down and nodded. His face serious unlike his father's gentle expression. "I'd like to change my name to Umma's."

His father's smile slowly disappeared. He has thought of all the possible gifts Kyuhyun would want to have. A car, a plane ticket
anywhere, a driving license... but... "W-why? I mean... when have you decide on this?"

Kyuhyun his dried lips, his heart is pounding hard, nervous that his dad might not agree to this. He parted his lips, ready
to say what is in his heart. "I've..." he looked down and looked at his sweaty palms. "I've thought of this after Umma died." he
eyed on his dad. His dad's expression is back to the same gentle man.

"Kyuhyun ah... you're mom died years ago. Why- I mean..." he shook his head. "It- it doesn't make sense to me." he held on to his
forehead and looked at his son frustratedly. "I- I don't understand why you have to do this."

"I-" he looked down. "I just want Umma to stay with me." his expression is gentle but still serious. He sighed and met his dad's
eyes. "I miss her so much and..." he swallowed. How else can he persuade his dad? He straightened up. "Anyway I'm already of legal
age so I can decide on this. This is the gift I would want to have."

Choi Appa blow air heavily. Kyuhyun has always been the playful and mischievous son. He has always been the headache in the family,
he has always been the trouble maker. But he has to admit that he was also the most loved by his late wife. He could just see how
Siwon is always jealous of the attention his wife has given to Kyuhyun. This probably is the reason why Kyuhyun would want him to
carry their mother's name.

"Is this really what you want?"

Kyuhyun looked down and nodded silently. Choi Appa sighed. "Very well then. Tomorrow, we will go and have your name changed as you
wanted." His son looked down with a slight smile. "Will you be happy if you change your name to your mom's?" he asked. It is afterall,
the most important thing, that his son is happy.

His son bit his lips for a while. "I don't know yet. But I'm sure I won't regret it."

"You really are like your mom." Choi Appa said and shook his head with a smile. "Strong-headed and playful." Kyuhyun smiled with what
he heard from his dad. "Well, happy birthday, son." He threw a key on Kyuhyun when he looked up. The young man almost wasn't able to
catch it but he did anyway. Kyuhyun saw a label on the key, an expensive name of a car is engraved on the head. He eyed on his dad.

"Well, I did thought you'd ask for something like this, if not R-18 movies." Kyuhyun chuckled upon hearing the latter. Choi Appa walked
towards him and hugged him.

That was it. He gave up his father's name to carry his mom's name instead. He will never be Choi Kyuhyun anymore... instead he will
be Cho Kyuhyun. That's who he will be.

Umma, I'm doing the right thing, ain't I?

Kyuhyun was standing in front of his father's office. Nope, he's not contemplating on this. He's quite determined that today is the
day he's been waiting for. His father called for him now and he thinks he has an idea as to why that is. He looked down and took his
phone from his pocket.

Incoming call...

Angel Min

He turned his mobile facing down and the ringing becomes mute. He turned it off right after the ringing has stopped. He placed it
back to his pocket and turned the knob.

. Why isn't Kyuhyun answering? Sungmin looked at his phone as tears came up again. He needs to get home soon. He needs to know that
they've been busted by Lee Umma and that she wants to cancel the wedding and leave the Choi house asap. He shook his phone. What
should he do?

"Kyuhyun ah, answer the phone please." he said as he dialled Kyuhyun's number. He closed his eyes tightly when the operator said that
the number is not in service. Why does Kyuhyun need to turn his phone off now? He walked around the room and looked at his luggage.

Is he going to start packing? Is he going to refuse to leave? If he does so, his mom would hate him more... that's for sure. The door
opened and out came Lee Umma.

"You won't wait for him to come before you start packing. We're leaving everything that doesn't belong to us here."

"Umma~ please don't do this."

"We have to. Quickly pack your things." she turned her back and closed the door. She rested against the door and closed her eyes. She's
doing this for her son... and Mr. Choi. She wouldn't want to hear anything bad about both men, that he's dating his step brother and that Guy 12
is marrying his son's boyfriend's mother. What would people say to then? She wouldn't want Sungmin to suffer the way she did when she dated
12 guys for the past years. Sungmin has a bright future. She wouldn't want Mr. Choi's name to be on the line as well. People will criticize him and
might not be able to expand his business. She won't let this upcoming marriage to stain everything.

She took a deep breath and straightened up and walked away.

"Kyuhyun ah... come in." Choi Appa walked towards him and welcomed him to the President's table. He asked his son to sit in front and
surprisingly, Choi Appa sat on the chair beside the visitor's chair. Kyuhyun felt weirded but it's better like this.

"How are you today, son?"

"Why did you call for me?" Kyuhyun asked straightforwardly. Choi Appa straightened up and smiled.

"Well..." Choi Appa started, he breathe in deeply as if calming himself first before smiling again. "I have a request... since
you don't have anything against my second marriage, I'm thinking of asking a gift from you. I hope that you will comply to it."

Kyuhyun shrugged his shoulders cooly. "Let's hear about it."

Choi Appa breathe out a bulk of air first and held on to Kyuhyun's hand. "Kyuhyun ah... isn't it time for you to carry my name again?"
His eyes watching his son's reaction. He is concern because he knows why Kyuhyun changed his name to his late mom's. Kyuhyun is very
much attached to his mom and vice versa. "I mean, it's been a while since you've carried your late mom's name and I think it's time
to change it back to Choi since we'll be starting a new family."

Kyuhyun just sealed his lips as he watches his father looking at him in that anxious way. Is he afraid that he'll reject the idea?
"I-I know it's hard for you to let go of your mother and I'm not saying you should let her go, in fact, I'm glad that you still put
her to your heart. But... we will start a new family... and I want all of you to be under my care. Do you understand what I'm
saying? I want you to carry my name again."

"Lee Umma will change her name, won't she?" Kyuhyun eyed on his dad. Choi Appa nodded. "And Sungmin hyung?"

"Sungmin?" Choi Appa chuckled gently and shook his head with the thought of Sungmin and how he determined-ly say he is his father's son
and that won't change anything. "I will put him under my care too, but I don't think he would want to change his name to Choi. He is,
afterall, carrying his own father's name."

Kyuhyun nodded. He breathe out slowly and eyed on his dad. "I won't do it."

Choi Appa straightened up and looked at his son. Kyuhyun's eyes slowly looked down and his mouth slowly agaped, his eyebrows creased
and he closed his eyes thinking whether to say his thoughts.

"Kyuhyun ah-"

"I know the truth." Kyuhyun said with his eyes slightly tight closed. He opened his eyes and saw his father confused. He swallowed.
"From a long time ago...I already know the truth."

"What do you mean?" Choi Appa asked. "What truth?" His head slightly shaking showing his confusion. He's lost. What is Kyuhyun
talking about? "What are you talking about?"

"Umma told me before she passed away." he dropped his stare on his lap and swallowed hard.

"I'm not your son."

Choi Appa's eyes widened. Shocked with the thought that Kyuhyun actually said those to him. "H-how did you..." he asked. "What did
you-" His breathing unstable, his head seemingly light. Choi Appa held on to his forehead. Kyuhyun shocked him with he said. Why does
this boy always shock him when they are having this kind of talks? "Since when did you-"

"Umma told me Siwon is my brother but you're not my dad." Kyuhyun looked down recalling what his mother said. "She told me to be a
good son and to always treat you well." Choi Appa closed his eyes and sighed deeply. "I want to know what happened." He turned to
Kyuhyun, eyes curious and vulnerable. "How did Umma end up having me... why didn't she end up with that person? Why did you-" he dropped
his eyes "Why did you take me as your son?"

"I will tell you what happen... but I have to warn you... there is a misunderstanding here."

What misunderstanding? Is there anything more to be misunderstood? Choi Appa has no choice. He breathe in and recalled his own story
from 30 years ago...

"Your mom has always been in love with my best friend..." he started and eyed on Kyuhyun. He smiled and looked down. "From the very
start she has her eyes for him. She has dreamed of marrying him in the future. I, on the otherhand, has just been the third wheel."

"Third wheel?" Kyuhyun asked. Choi Appa smiled at him and nodded his head.

"I was never her first choice. But I have loved your mom eversince. Trust me, Kyuhyun. If there is any woman I would want to have, it would always be your mom." he looked down shortly. "They had plans of getting married after college. But one day, he suddenly disappeared. Without
any words, he left like that. Your mom has fallen in despair and she could only hang on to me." he eyed on Kyuhyun again.

So that's where the misunderstanding lies. Choi Appa took his mom away. He didn't let her wait for that man.

"I didn't steal your mom if you're thinking of that. It's just that, she was so lonely and I was the only one she depended on after
that. She agreed to marry me and that was the time we had Siwon. We both thought he won't come back anymore. No words, no
anything from the time he left and even until Siwon was born." he chuckled. "However after two years he appeared in front of
her again. He's such a big hindrance in my life."

Kyuhyun saw loneliness in his dad's eyes. He knows Guy 12 doesn't deserve this. All he did was to love his mom and his mom betrayed
him. She even left him as an evidence of her infidelity. He looked up and continued listening.

"She thought I didn't know that they've been seeing behind my back but..." he sighed with a smile. "I guess I loved her too much that
I can let her go to him just to see her happy." Kyuhyun looked down, guilty in behalf of his real father. "She finally admitted
that she's pregnant with you... She said she wants to go to him and I've already
set my heart to hear those..." he looked at Kyuhyun and shrugged his shoulders. "But he left again without saying a word."

"Why... why didn't you abandon her?"

Choi Appa looked at Kyuhyun cooly, his expression softer and lighter than earlier. "I guess you have a stupid man as a father. I cannot
bear seeing her like that. When you were born she insisted that we should divorce, and that she'll take care of you." He shook his
head with a smile. "I can't let her do that. You won't be on your own and you will grow up with a father."

Kyuhyun looked down and blinked some of the tears that are starting to form. He swallowed shortly and bit his cheek while stopping his
breath. Choi Appa has took him as a real son and never did he feel that he was less loved. He doesn't deserve any of his kindness now
knowing that his mom has treated Guy 12 this way. Why did his real father abandoned them? Why did his real father abandoned his poor
mother twice?

Choi Appa shook his head "I should have known you've been keeping this for a long time. Why didn't you tell me about this? You must
have been having a hard time keeping this to yourself... and for goodness' sake you were just eight when you're mom died. You've carried
it for a long time. Is this the reason why you insisted on changing your name?" the younger nodded his head and Choi Appa could just
chuckle. How did his magnae managed to be this mature at such a young age? "So why didn't you tell me about this? You could have told
me earlier so I could have understand."

Kyuhyun looked up to his dad and slowly dropped his head. His mouth agaped trying to stay emotionally strong. "I'm..." he breathe out
shortly. "I'm scared that you... might... not want to keep me... anymore."

"Kyuhyun ah... why-" his stubborn son is vulnerable in front of him right now. It is the first time Kyuhyun looked this vulnerable
in front of him. Kyuhyun doesn't want Choi Appa to abandon him the way that man did to his late mother. What can he do? Kyuhyun has
these thoughts at a young age. His poor magnae... Choi Appa feels sorry for realizing that Kyuhyun has been keeping this thoughts for a long
time. He shook his head and patted the younger's shoulder.

"Actually... I met him once or twice long time ago." Choi Appa turned to Kyuhyun. Who? Who did he meet once? "My real father."

"Who?"

"He invited me for dinner and we talked a lot. At that time, I thought I should tell you that I knew I'm not your son." He looked down
and chuckled.

"What have you talked about?"

"This and that..." he looked down shortly. "He said he wants to know me more."

"And?"

"He offered to take me with him and go to Italy..."

"He did?"

"I said I'll think about it."

"Have you two been contacting each other? I mean... until now?"

Kyuhyun shook his head. "After our second meeting, I told him that I won't go with him." Choi Appa straightened up and was energised
with what he heard. "Even if I don't have your blood in my vein, you've always been the father that I wanted... and..." his dad slowly
smiled upon hearing those words. "I want it to stay that way."

Choi Appa stood up from his chair and hugged Kyuhyun. "Thank you, Kyuhyun." he whispered. "But just so you know... there is a
misunderstanding here."

Kyuhyun turned to his father. Not being his son is already the misunderstanding, what more is there to be misunderstood? He listened well
to his old man. "I knew your late mom insisted that you are not mine but... I had my own ways to find things out." he
blinked and smiled a bit. "You are my son. My blood runs in your veins." What? No way, he met his real father. He said he was Kyuhyun's
real father. "I had your DNA test when you were born. I told myself that if you really are not my son; I will, by all means, try and look for him and
tie him in a tree if necessary just so your mother can live together with both of you happily." He shrugged his shoulders cooly.

"The doctors said our DNAs matched well. I am your father, Kyuhyun."

"But-" No, this can't be. He doesn't know whether to be glad that he really is Mr. Choi's son right now. He has kept in his mind that this man
is not his real father. It is the only reason why he waited for this timing. It is the only reason why he is confident in getting Sungmin. A gasp of breath. Sungmin.

"I don't know." Guy 12 shook his head. "I guess your mom has told him about you before he left that's why he thought you are his son.
But no, Kyuhyun. I am your father."

"Why didn't you tell this to Umma."

"I did tell her." he looked down and pouted shortly. "But she wanted to hang onto the thought that you belong to him believing he would
come back again." the memory of his depressed late wife came up to him. Depression. That's what took Kyuhyun's mother's life. And she was
unstable enough to even plant this kind of seed in the little magnae's head.

"Appa..." so he really is this man's son. He is not alone. He is not abandoned unlike his mom. But... What about him and Sungmin? He
was confident to take Sungmin away because he knows they won't be related in anyway. This is the main reason why he and Sungmin can be
together. What about his promise? Trust me. How the hell can Sungmin trust him now? They really can't be together. What will he do?

"Now that you know the truth. I hope you can change your name back to Choi. Kyuhyun ah, take this as your father's request."

"No." he said sternly. He looked at his father in the eyes. This is the timing that he has been waiting for. Sungmin has been in agony
because of this and he won't disappoint his angel just because of this. He wouldn't care anymore. He'll be putting his cards in. He'll
gamble on his old man's decision. It's either he'll lose himself or he'll lose Sungmin. Although... he wishes that he won't lose both.
He'll try to deal with everything. He won't lose Sungmin. Not now, not ever. If his old man will say no... he'll run away with Sungmin. If worse
comes to worst... he'll stall the wedding. He eyed on his father.

"Even if you are my real father, I won't change my name anymore." He breathe in deeply, ready to drop the biggest and most dangerous
bomb. "I had the intentions of using it back but something happened along the way and now I'm more determined to use Umma's
name for the rest of my life..." he swallowed and mentally crossed his fingers. "Appa..."

Something happened? What is it? Why does Kyuhyun looked so serious this time. Choi Appa leaned forward and is ready to listen. The
magnae looked at him in the eyes. Determination and confidence were regained after their heart to heart talk. What happened that he
still can't convince Kyuhyun despite knowing that he really is a legitimate son?

"I'm dating Sungmin."

"I'm dating Sungmin."

Choi Appa literally dropped his jaw upon hearing what his son said. He definitely is joking, right? He eyed on the younger and saw his
expression didn't change. . He is serious?! He swallowed and straightened up, still prim and proper even if he was shock to hear
what Kyuhyun said. He immediately recovered from the comical reaction he had earlier. The magnae is dating Sungmin. Woah. He didn't
expect this to be a revelation day for both him and his son. He cleared his throat and tried to gain his composure back.

"Oh...oh..." he said while nodding, making Kyuhyun crossed his eyebrows for a while. He is supposed to say something other than this,
but what? Or... what does the latter expect him to say? He was so dumbfounded about what Kyuhyun told him.

"Oh? Oh...what?"

Choi Appa cleared his throat again and acted like it's not a big deal. "Well... I mean... Sungmin is a good boy, hardworking... err...
adorable if I might add...and I mean..." what can he say? His son is dating. And is dating another guy... that's more interesting rather
surprising than knowing who is he dating. He can't believe Kyuhyun has this kind of preference too... (yup, just like Siwon) Was there something
wrong with the way he raised up his children?

"uh..." he chuckled. "I really don't know what to say, son. I mean... how- how long have you been dating?"

"Shortly after you left for Boston."

"Oh~" the old man said in an almost high pitched while nodding. So it was already quite a long time. He still cannot grasp the thought that
Kyuhyun is... yeah... you know...well...uhm...

Kyuhyun was weirded by the reaction he gets from his dad. Err... that's it? Isn't he supposed to at least swag him or tell him he is
shameless for dating a guy? for dating his future stepbrother, for the matter. "T-that's it? You won't even scold me or anything?"
he asked. At least he needs to see his father raging with fury because of what he find out, right? Dating a guy...and his future
stepbrother is something he should be angry about. Or... is it? Speak up, old man! I can barely breathe here!

"Well, it seems like I've forgotten to impose a rule about dating another guy when you were young so I'm probably at fault too."

"Appa..."

Choi Appa chuckled. "I'm just kidding. I mean...what should I say? You shocked me."

"You're not mad at me?"

"Should I?"

"S-sungmin and I... w-we'll be brothers soon..." Why is Choi Appa acting stupid right now? He has all the respect Kyuhyun can give
to anyone earlier. Where was the serious yet gentle dad earlier? It seems like Choi Appa has transformed into a derp father; weirded
and blur about what was revealed to him.

Choi Appa pointed his index and nodded. "Right... right..." he stood up and started worrying. "I better scold you now." he said but
is still processing the thought in his mind. He-he shouldn't be mad, should he? There's nothing wrong about two err...male people
dating. They're not blood related or anything. Should it be a big deal? Kyuhyun chuckled. He did give his dad a shock. Just look at
him. He shook his head.

"Appa, I'm leaving the house so you can still marry Lee Umma."

"Wait, I didn't ask you to leave. Why would you leave?"

"But-" There he saw Choi Appa's expression changed. He is back to his serious and gentle self. This man got serious issue in mood
swings. He looked at Kyuhyun; sincerity and love all in those wrinkled eyes.

"I wanted to start a new family. If I'm sending you away, what difference did I make?"

Guy 12 creased his eyebrows shortly. Right, he better do something to fix his wedding. He took his jacket and started standing up.
"You won't go anywhere away from this family." he said sternly and fixed his things. "I better talk to Mrs. Lee about this."
Yup, he better hurry up because if Lee Umma finds out about this, he's quite sure she will faint... she might get the wrong impression
about this set-up... or...she might not pursue the wedding- this could be worst. He cleared his mind and immediately know what to do. He
stopped when he noticed that Kyuhyun is following him.

"Where are you going?"

"Going with you."

"Oh no you won't. You wouldn't want to see your dad in action when getting his woman."

"What?!"

Oh that sounds ertive. Kyuhyun's face turned sour when Choi Appa smirked at him and left the room. Smirking- Indeed a family
trait. He smirked upon watching the old man walk out of the office. Now, Kyuhyun is sure smirking Guy 12 is indeed his biological father.
He shook his head and his phone. He needs to tell Sungmin that a lot of things happened between him and his dad but everything
will be fine now. There were 5 unread messages.

Sender: Angel Min
[Kyuhyun, come back home, quickly. I need to tell you something.]

Min, there's nothing to worry about. Everything will be fine now.

Sender: Angel Min
[Kyuhyun, Umma knows, she's found out about us, what will I do?]

. What did she say? Kyuhyun crossed his eyebrows. If she finds
out and Sungmin wasn't able to say everything well, Choi Appa might be late to do something.

Sender: Angel Min
[Please answer your phone, I don't know what to do]

Kyuhyun closed his eyes. Sungmin seemed troubled. He surely won't send such
message if he is handling things well. Sungmin ah, hang on right there... Appa's on the way.

Sender: Angel Min
[Umma asked me to pack my things, she said there will be no more wedding]

His mouth agaped. What? The worst thing he has thought that will happen is for Sungmin to be sent away
and him sneaking out of the house just to see him. But Lee Umma cancelling her own wedding...
No, Guy 12 won't allow it. He won't. Appa, please hurry up.

Sender: Angel Min
[Goodbye, Kyuhyun]

Holy-

Goodbye, Kyuhyun?! Where will Sungmin go? No. He won't go anywhere. He can't go anywhere. Things have been fixed. They can be together
now...out in the public and not hiding anymore. Choi Appa just need to convince his mom and they'll be fine. Please, Min. Hang on right there. Aish,
he cannot wait for his dad's news anymore. He needs to do something as well.

He immediately ran outside the office. He wasn't able to catch his dad anymore. Oh no, Sungmin cannot go away. Not now that he has
fixed everything. He turned to the lift and pressed the down button for a couple of times but the elevator is travelling from the
bottom floor. He cannot wait for it anymore. He took the emergency stairs and started running down.

No, Min. You and I will have a happy ending.

Just like my dad and your mom.

down hihihi^^ I have to say, I had a slight difficulty making
this chapter because I know some of you had your predictions
but I'm glad I was able to finish it. No more questions

I'm quite happy today because I've been craving for some kimbap
for some time now and finally, today was the day I was able
