Kim Jiyeon had no family left except for her adopted brother Lee Donghae. However it seems she is one the verge of losing him as well. Donghae was diagnosed with the first stage of stomach cancer, and although not life-threatening yet, surgery is required as soon as possible before it becomes to the point where it is too late.

But the surgery cost too much for 2 parentless, barely adults, to pay for themselves. So Jiyeon borrows from the rich and arrogant Kim Kibum. However, when it is time to pay him back, Jiyeon does not even have half the money she needs to.

Kibum finds Jiyeon amusing, leading him to strike a deal with her:

“Work as my maid until you’ve paid the debt. BUT, understand what being my maid means.

            No talking back,

            Doing everything I say,

            And pleasing your master, ME.”
