"Bommie-ah , are you ready to go?" my mom asks me.

"Neh, omma I'm all packed and ready to go," I reply showing her my bags.

She nods, "Okay, let's go, we don't want to disappoint our boss, especially on the first day," she says.

I pick up my bags and head out to the front of the house where a car will be picking my family up, including me.

You see, I'm poor.

I live in a small house on a rice farm with my mom and dad. I go to college that I can't even afford to pay my tuition each month and I always wear hand-me-downs from my older cousins.

But I don't complain because my parents do everything in there will to raise me right and they did. My parents didn't finish school because their parents were poor also. But despite all that, they loved and cared about me more than anyone can in the whole world. 

I wanted to help them by quitting school and start getting a job but they objected and said I had to finish school so I could get a good future and not end up like them.

Just when things were going normal in life, the owner of the rice farm we live on decided to raise the rent of our home. Unfortunately my parents couldn't afford to pay the high price, so they kicked us out.

Before we got kicked out my mother was lucky to meet a kind rich lady her age who would give all of us a maid job in her big mansion.

So, today we are going to get picked up by one of their drivers and they will bring us to their home and we are going to live there and work for the lady's family which I found out her name is Mrs.Choi.
