P R O L O G U E

Sehun sat on the passenger seat inside his father's black Mercedes Benz. The holiday was the least he had thought it would be.

He sighed as he watched the rain droplets rolled down the glass window. The unexpected thunder storm was ruining everything he had in mind for his perfect holiday. The sky poured mercilessly and it appeared darker than before. The loud thunder engulfed everything when it clapped. The current situation showed no sign that this thunderstorm would end soon.

His mother gasped when the sudden thunder scared her. She held onto her dress and closed her eyes, as though expecting another thunder. Sehun's father patted her lap to calm her down. "It's okay, dear"

Their son showed no obvious reaction towards his mom. The young latter continued to stare outside the window, half-expecting that the sun would soon outshine the storm. He felt a tug on his heart when disappointment washed through him. He had thought that this trip would allow him to finally have some family bonding time with his parents. He thought that they would be able to have fun together and that he would be able to finally experience what normal children feel when they were with their parents. But everything was turning out otherwise. It was back to the same boring, quiet environment which he had faced every single day. He meets them on the dining table for breakfast, then he goes to school and back to bed. This routine repeats itself over and over again. But, with the exception that this young boy sometimes have to eat breakfast alone.

Sensing his son's aura, Sehun's father started whistling a happy tune to lighten up the latter's mood. He viewed the rear mirror but only to see his child with his 'stone-face' on. He stopped whislting and started to tell jokes as another attempt to make the boy smile. Instead of feeling thankful that his father is trying to make him feel the warmth, Sehun, being the stubborn boy he always was, rolled his eyes in an peeved manner. "Stop it, it's very annoying."

The older man stopped with his jokes, and turned back to face the young boy. "Sehun, I know you're unhappy but we can't control the weather can we? I'm sure we can spend a happy time together later ri-"

"Who says I'm unhappy with the weather?! I'm just irritated that I have to spend time with people I dislike!" Sehun spat, venom in his tongue.

"Sehun, I'm sor-"

"WATCH OUT!"

The father and son diverted their attention to the front. A large tree trunk came into view and quickly, a loud bang and shattering sound of the glass was heard.

"D-dad, I'm s-sorry and I lov-" Then, the boy out.
