Chapter 1

Winter. That word only means one thing for Hana, and it was snow. She had been amazed ever since she was a kid. It was her favorite thing. She sat in front of the glass window that over-looked the city, in the Crème Amor coffee house. She waited patiently for her frap, and when Min came to give her order, Min waited for Hana to take a sip and give a satisfied smile. Then, she did.

Hana is very kind. She was ecstatic when she learned of her dad’s remarriage and that she would be having a sister. Min, on the other hand is the type of girl who takes everything seriously. She works hard, but sometimes overworks herself and she wouldn’t know that unless someone had told her to stop.

“Regular coffee please.”

This man had ordered. When the coffee was done, she called out the name written on the cup. “Sunggyu!”

“And that would be me.” Sunggyu beamed, all ready for his coffee. He was giving her the eye smile that made Min flinch. “Thank you so much.”

He was a frequent customer in the house, and every time he comes and he would order a different drink. One day, he left the shop and Min was outside trying to fix the tarp. It’s always at that time when she cursed she was born shorter than normal people.

“Do you need some help?” Sunggyu asked but didn’t wait for Min’s reply.

“Ah~ Thank you so much.” She bowed.

He smiled and that sweet eye-smile shows. “That’s a first…”

Min wanted to ask what he meant by that but she was interrupted by screaming girls. They wanted to take pictures with him and ask for an autograph.

Hana was already beside her and she was surprised. “He really is that guy from Infinite. I knew it.”

“Who?” Min asked.

Hana couldn’t believe her. “What? Min, you’re a full-blooded Korean and you don’t know them? You know what… I guess it’s time for you to obsess over music.”

Min couldn’t believe what Hana said. “U-unnie?”

For Hana, she knew that Sunggyu is interested in Min, and it’s also a great opportunity to get close to her step-sister. Amidst all her plans, she felt droplets of cold stuff on her head. She looked up and it was already snowing. She felt good and with her optimistic mind, she had a great feeling everything would be okay.

And then she heard it…

“Waaaaaaah~~~~~~~” The sound of joy and excitement rang through her ears. She followed where the sound came from.

The blond kid was full of happiness just from feeling the snow. Good thing she caught a glimpse of the boy’s face before Sunggyu pushed him into the car and left. It was definitely Sungjong.

“Hyung, there’s this store that I absolutely am curious about. It only opens at night. So, can I leave for a bit?” Myungsoo pleaded at the leader.

Sunggyu cocked an eyebrow but then let him go. “Your curfew is in three hours. Myungsoo, no clubs okay? We don’t want any trouble.”

“You kidding me, hyung? It’s like slapping me on the face! You know I can’t get in any bars or clubs! You’re so mean!” He told Sunggyu.

He left wearing a yellow beanie and covered his neck with a thick scarf. He walked on the deserted street covered in snow. His hands were in his pockets, and he walked with a straight back.

He was a man with purpose. When the door rang and he went in the store, Myungsoo exhaled deeply and was catching his breath. Dang those fangirls! How do they have so much energy! For the past 10 minutes, he had been avoiding several fans. LUCKILY, he lost them.

“Welcome back, Master.” A girl in a white Lolita outfit greeted him. He was at awe. The girl had smiled at him sweetly. “Master?” He had stared at her for too long, and thankfully was back to reality.

“Sorry. Uhm… It’s my first time here. So…” Myungsoo exclaimed while scratching his neck.

The Lolita girl smiled. This IS his first time here! I knew it! He’s a pretty decent guy for a first timer. And… wait… he looks so familiar. Hmm… “No worries. Welcome to TsukiHime Café. Tsuki means moon, and hime is princess. The café is the only Japanese anime and manga store in this part of town. Where would you prefer to sit?”

“Uh… somewhere quiet, not a lot of people. It’s better if no one sees me.

“Come this way then.”

She led him into a hallway full of stalls. He felt awkward. The other hostesses’ eyes are very lustful. It’s like they’re ready to attack him any minute. He was even more surprised to find the place really huge. Doors that leads to other doors and rooms. He ended up on a comfortable couch and started browsing a manga he picked up on the way.

“Now that you’re settled, let me introduce myself. My name’s Kaye [Kei], and I am your servant for tonight. Do you need anything, Master?”

“S-servant?” With a blush on his cheeks and Kaye didn’t miss that. She giggled quietly. “Uhm… just a question though. I’m not gonna get , am I?” Then Kaye burst out in laughter.

“Ah. So sorry. It was just so funny. Master, of course not. I mean, the other girls just look like that ALWAYS.” Emphasizing on the ‘always’. “You’re the first person that ever asked that. Whew. That totally made my day and night. This particular section in the café is monitored by CCTV’s since there are a lot of minors here. Also, there is another section in the café for adults. And if I mean adults… you know… those stuff.” She explained her face still red from laughing. She pointed to the door that says, ‘25+ ONLY’. Then he gulped.

Myungsoo then asked for a hot tea. As she bowed, he couldn’t help but stare at her almost bare chest. Then he noticed her slender legs when she walked away.

Kaye came back with his order. “Here you go. For now, enjoy your tea and I’ll be back.”

She had another customer. Myungsoo watched her walk away. Kaye walked towards the door that she pointed before and stood there for a few seconds. She hated going in that room, but she had no choice. She knew that guys will strike again. Good thing the CCTV camera records everything, if not for that, she’ll be a goner.

Ten minutes passed and Myungsoo heard the door slam. Kaye stormed out with tears strolling down her cheeks. She then disappeared, and he quickly finished his tea. After paying, he quietly left the café. On his way home, he was hoping he would bump into Kaye. He sighed and looked up.

It was snowing again.
