"At first, I wanted to hate you, and you out of spite. I wanted to destroy you for destroying my family. Out of all the men and women my father had, you were the only one he stayed with for so long. You broke my mother's heart," Sehun says, voice shaking.

"Sehun, I--" Lu Han starts to say, head down, balled fists digging into his lap. "Please, I never meant--"

"Before, I wanted to see what he saw in you, and what you saw in him, just so I could know how you had him so wrapped around your finger. That man I tried to please all my life, who my own mother could never satisfy... you had him. Completely and utterly. And I wanted to know why." 

Lu Han is afraid to look at him, because he knows that seeing Sehun will break his own resolve.

"But now, I only see you. And I want you to see only me. That's all I want now - nothing more, nothing less."
