Description
It doesn’t matter how charming, handsome, or kind he is. There are boundaries which cannot, should not, and will not be crossed.
Tiffany desperately tries not to succumb to these feelings gnawing at her stomach, squeezing at her heart.
She tells herself she won’t ever call the object of her devotion anything other than his official title:
Mr. Hyukjae.
Foreword
“You’re just perfect.” he says unexpectedly. “You’re the perfect secretary, you know that?”
...A secretary. His words echo in my ears. I may be perfect, but I’m still just a secretary.
He’s grateful that I’m here with him.
Compliment after compliment, he layers them on me like blankets, warming my heart and causing the heat to rise into my cheeks.
Cool, calm, organized and collected. Punctual, cheerful, helpful, and considerate. Efficient, innovative, diligent, and professional. Not to mention the best friend a person could ever have.
Basically, the perfect secretary.
His praise-filled words sound so convincing, I almost believe him.
But I know one thing he hasn’t even considered:
A perfect secretary doesn’t fall in love with her boss.
This story was written for the AUpairs challenge #4 (Office AU) on LiveJournal, though I didn't make deadline. I was still inspired by it, though! (Kind of..) It was going to be a oneshot but got way too long OTL.
The Perfect Secretary has been reviewed by EXOHunHanRis of the Walking Puppet Shop. I did quite well; I'm so relieved! :3 The reviewer also pointed out a few things I should consider editing. Be sure to check out this shop; it does wonderful oneshot requests as well as reviews. It's one of my favorites on this site because of its fun idea and layout!
Another person who reviewed this fic is greensims of the Structured Procrastinations Design Creation Centre! I did pretty well here, too. Better than I had hoped. *whew!* This cool pikachu-loving reviewer definitely showed many points of improvement for me, and also taught me a few things as well! I don't recommend you listen while reading, because depending on the speed at which you read, some of the songs just may not seem to flow right with the words. Also, those pesky youtube ads come up every time the songs switch => possible mood ruiner.
