Gone
First Love Turns SecondJun Ho’s POV
Today was the mid-work check-up of our songs. The cameras had not been following us in these few days, giving us the freedom to compose our music ourselves. That gave me huge relief because we did not have to act in front of the cameras. We could really settle down and focus on the song itself.
However, 2PM was busy with overseas concert while So Eun was busy filming her drama so the song was barely finished and the song was rusty. I was not totally satisfied but we should see what happened before continuing.
She finally came and sat beside me. She began to take out all her work to show me while I checked them thoroughly. She started giggling and commented, “This felt like a homework check to me!”
I laughed and joked, “Come, let me have a look at your homework.” She told me to wait so I did. I continued by saying, “You have written lyrics right? Before we look at the lyrics, let’s take a listen to the rough melody as well.”
After listening to the melody, I glanced to see her expression. To be honest, I came up with the melody while thinking of her. I remembered the way we parted ways because of little issues. With those little problems stacked together, a major issue had sparked the decision to divorce. I felt the heartbreak through this and came up with the sad and sorrowful melody. Would she emphasise with it?

Jun Ho ran as fast as he could to the hospital after receiving the news. The words kept ringing in his mind, “So Eun. The baby is gone.”
He opened the door after knowing which ward she was in. So Eun’s face was pale but was never looking forward to his visit. They had fought for very long and had been in a cold war for around two weeks. Their relationship was in tatters and this was the first time in a long time before they would start speaking to each other again.
So Eun had left the house after Jun Ho’s mistake. Since Jun Ho was training hard to be in JYP, he had never shown concern to So Eun who was resting at home, not going to school, under his mother’s care. He took her for granted and said she had an easier life being at home while he had to train at JYP Entertainment. All So Eun wanted was her husband’s love but all Jun Ho did was to sleep and threw tempers all day.
One day, Jun Ho ignored her calls when she was having cramps and vomiting all day. He went out to have dinner with his friends instead. So Eun found him in restaurant and started reprimanding him for not going home in front of his friends.
“Stop embarrassing me in front of my friends. Go home!”
So Eun pointed at him and then to the baby, “Did you know the baby is almost in danger? I felt so sick today and I just wanted your company but you rather stay out and hang out with your friends instead. Is this fair to me? I wished I could hang out with my friends too, but I’m stuck at home. Can you show some concern for me? Your wife? If you remember.”
Jun Ho dragged her out of the restaurant and hissed, “Don’t say that, they don’t know I have a wife.”
“Are you embarrassed? Embarrassed that you have a pregnant wife at this age?” So Eun was angrier now. Jun Ho was speechless and So Eun said to him, “Since you don’t like the baby, I don’t like it either, okay? Go have fun and don’t bother about me!”
So Eun went back to stay with her mother for two weeks and Jun Ho never got her back… until he received news she was in the hospital.
He saw So Eun lying on the bed but her eyes were still filled with anger. Jun Ho looked at her and demanded, “Why did you abort it? Why?!”
“Lee Jun Ho.” So Eun tried to sit up and choked when she tried to talk to him. She was beyond weak.
“This is between the two of us and you shouldn’t take it out on the baby. It’s our child. I can’t believe you’re that heartless to abort the baby. You’re incredible.” Jun Ho took it out on her, “I can’t believe you used abortion to spite me like this.”
“Lee Jun Ho.” She repeated, “Do you really think of me this way? Am I such a person in your eyes?”
“I don’t know what you have become but it’s scary. I don’t know you anymore. This marriage… was a mistake.” Jun Ho said coldly and turned away from her.
So Eun was almost breaking down but she was frustrated at the same time, “You’re right. And you’re not the Jun Ho I knew anymore.” She breathed in deeply and shed a tear, “Let’s end it. Let’s have a divorce.”
“Fine with me.” Jun Ho did not hesitate and left the ward.

Jun Ho’s POV
“Jun Ho? Jun Ho?”
“Yes?” I did not even realise the melody was over.
Next, I began to listen to her lyrics carefully. It was good but somehow, I was not satisfied. Afraid of hurting her feelings, again, I encouraged her, “Your lyrics are… good.”
She smiled from my comment and asked, “Really? Your melody is good too. If the lyrics and melody are good…”
“I think we should go and see the Director and let him do a check on what we have done so far…” I said to her and my confidence went low all of a sudden.
She nodded seriously, “It’s better to get hit first.”
I chuckled when I realised her confidence was low as well. She was also afraid of getting rejected from the Music Director. “Why are you like that?” I argued.
“Let’s go get hit!” After all that, she sounded pretty enthusiastic about it. I knew she was hiding her fear from me but it was obvious.
“Let’s go meet the director.”
