Stuck Together (JeTi)

Description

(A/N written a year ago)

This is for my one and only Harupi oppa! <3 Thank you for everything!

Hello guys! I am back with another story! :] kekeke! I'm not as lazy now am I? ;]

Anyway, I'm almost done with this story so don't worry about 'waiting'. Lol! I just have to write the last scene.

Why not worry? Well, because I already have almost fourteen thousand words in total. I am cutting it to parts.

Ohh, and sorry that I didn't edit. My beta reader and I are both busy to even really edit. We are just really checking on plot holes.

----Five Chapters Multi-Shot---

This is the FIRST PART of this multiple shot. :]

STUCK TOGETHER
Part One

“Why are we stopping?”Jessica asked as she was in the back seat of her stretched limousine. She looked to the window side and saw a car that was parked on the side of the highway.

“Jessica, is it okay if I help them?” The driver looked over his shoulder.

Jessica nodded, “I don’t mind. Just don’t take awhile.” The driver got off the car and Jessica just held onto her laptop, reading proposals for the next Foundation Day of her school. Even with this so-called break from school, she still had to do things. She was the student council president after all.

There was a proposal that stood out that even she thought was impressive – The Jail Booth. According to Sooyoung, the treasurer, the mechanics of this so called booth was somewhat similar to a game. Since Saint Rose International School Student Council was hosting, no one could defy them even if this game was never done before.

Jessica smiled as she read the proposal, liking every inch of this booth. Interesting. The tyrant mentally said. It had been more than twenty minutes but Charlie was still not back yet. Wanting to get home sooner, she got off the car. Walking over to the other car, she called for her driver. “Charl--“ but was astounded to see a familiar vehicle. Was it the vehicle that was familiar or was it the emblem that was printed by the side of back door and the familiar flags on the front of the car? Nonetheless, she knew she had seen this car countless of times. Or at least she had seen the emblem and flags on countless vehicles.

She decided to turn around and avoid as much contact as possible towards the owner of this car. She should control her urges. She needed to finalize everything by today for tomorrow’s student council meeting. But it was too late as she heard Charlie calling her name, “Jessica.” She closed her eyes, sighing. Of all places, why did she, the indestructible student council president and sole heir to Jung Group and Companies, had to be here?

She tried to play it cool, turning to face Charlie, “Yes?”

“Is it okay if we---“

“No!” Jessica looked at the angry girl who just exclaimed, cutting Charlie’s words before finishing. “I would rather die and rot here than be in the same car as that… that thing!” the girl finished with disgust.

Oh, gosh. Of all people, why did we end up here? It wasn’t as if Jessica hated the situation. In fact, she was glad to have met this stubborn girl, but a distraction was the last thing she needed. And of course, with this girl here, Jessica wouldn’t be able to do any work.

“Mistress, you have to be less stubborn. Your father wouldn’t want you to wait here for three hours just for the other car to pick you up when there’s someone he can trust to take you home.” Said an old man. If Jessica’s memory serves her right, his name was Dan.

“Your mistress is as stubborn as always.” Jessica said, crossing her arms on her chest. She finally understood the situation. Of course, she put up a front, acting as if she wanted to fight. “Tsk! Tsk! Tsk! Now I wonder how this stubborn princess can manage the Hwang empire. There’s nothing good about her.”

Charlie and Dan just looked at her. They weren’t sure how to respond to Jessica’s claim. After a few silent seconds, Dan managed to smile and said, “She’s nice most of the time.”

Nice? Jessica scoffed in disbelief as she recalled everything that this girl had done to her. There was one time when she almost got hit by a golf ball in the country club they both go to. There was also a time when she almost got hit by a flying fork. Also, there was this one time where she actually got hit by a basketball, leaving a red mark on her cheek for that entire day. Maybe during a full moon that only happened once a month, then maybe she could be nice. Regardless, she knew this girl was nowhere close to being nice since the year they started bickering at each other. So in Jessica’s book, this girl in front of her was no longer the nice person she knew back then.

“Jessica, why don’t you try to convince Miss Tiffany to join us in the car? It’s really hot here and the more we argue, the longer we’ll have to stay here.” Charlie pleaded. Jessica knew that Charlie was just trying to stop Jessica from any argument with the stubborn girl in front of her.

“Hwang,” Jessica began as she sighed the latter’s name.  “Quit being such a pain in the and get in the car.”

“Like that’s going to happen!” She then pointed at Jessica and faced Dan, “You seriously want me to ride with that girl! That girl who….”

“Let it go, Hwang.”

“Do you honestly think that I could let that incident go?!” Tiffany was furious.

Jessica sighed again. Why couldn’t Tiffany forget about what happened between the two of them? It had been more than a year. She knew she was hated by the girl, but why couldn’t she let go of the past? “Yes. Grow up and let it go.”

“Grow up? Coming from the girl who started that stupid rumor?” Tiffany raised her brow, sweat starts to drip down. It was one-hundred and two degrees Fahrenheit outside; all of them were in fact sweating. Tiffany’s mobile phone started to vibrate in her pocket. She fished it out and answered, “Hello?”

Sighing, Jessica looked at Charlie. He was clearly tired. He had been driving from city to city with Jessica for the four days and they all just wanted to rest. “It’s not my fault she doesn’t want to ride with me.”

Charlie smiled at her, “Just romance her. Just like old times sake.” he winked at her. This old man knew a lot. He had been driving for Jessica since elementary years. He and Dan both witnessed Jessica’s and Tiffany’s weird relationship. “Come on. Get some good points! All you’ve been getting are red marks nowadays.” He nudged the girl.

Jessica just shot him a glare.

“Jung,” Tiffany called. “Fine.”

“Huh?”

“Fine.” Tiffany repeated again.

“Fine, what?”

“Fine, I’ll take your offer since you’re insisting.” Tiffany started walking towards her.

“I didn’t even insis---ugh!” Jessica moaned as she got hit by Tiffany’s elbow on the side.

“You insisted, right?” Tiffany narrowed her gaze on Jessica and all the latter could do was nod. She didn’t want another bruise from Tiffany.

“Mistress! What are you doing?!” Dan said, but Charlie just chuckled.

“Nothing. I want to go home.” Tiffany headed inside Jessica’s limousine, and Charlie was holding the door for her.

Jessica looked at Dan, “You should join us. We have more space.” She smiled but it was evident that the pain was still there. She was rubbing he side, trying to subside the soreness.

“Thank you but it’s okay. I can stay in the car while waiting.”

“Flat tire?” He nodded in respond.

“Please excuse my mistress. You know how she is. She’s stubborn at times.” He bowed a little.

Jessica shook her head, “It’s okay. I know how she is.” More like she knew Tiffany. After that incident last year, Tiffany changed her attitude towards Jessica. “We’ll just drop her off.”

“Thank you again.” He said as Jessica headed to her limousine.

“Don’t you dare sit beside me.” Tiffany threatened as she was seated on the other end of the seat.

“As far as I’m concerned, I can sit anywhere. This is my car after all.” Jessica noticed Tiffany’s hand that coiled on the handle, ready to open the door. “But, you can have your way since I’m nice.”

Tiffany just scoffed.

Jessica was on the other side of the seat, reading more proposals from the student council members.

“It’s been so long since the last time I took you home.” Charlie said as he maneuvered the car.

Jessica looked at Tiffany from the side, good thing she had her bangs and her thick black frames covering her eyes so Tiffany couldn’t tell that Jessica was staring at her.

“How are you? I haven’t really talked to you for like a year now.” Tiffany’s tone was gentle just like how it was before she hated Jessica.

“I’ve been good. Still as healthy as ever. How about you?”

Jessica watched Tiffany smile, and the latter soon then looked out the window. Tiffany’s chin was rested on her palm. “I’ve been good. It’s fun being a senior.”

“I’ve heard from Jessica that it’s really hectic. She’s even working even in the car while we were traveling.”

Tiffany scoffed, “She is the president after all.”

Charlie noticed Jessica shifted her head to view the window next to her as he witnessed her gesture over his rear view mirror. “What made you travel anyway?” Charlie continued his conversation with Tiffany.

“Charity work for Rotary club. It’s my dad’s project, but all Rotarians are busy people so they sent their kids to that charity event.”

“Oh? Jessica was doing some charity works, too.”

“Jung helps people out?” There was a hint of sarcasm in her tone.

“Of course.” Charlie was proud. “She’s really nice.”

Jessica cleared , “Charlie, just let Hwang take a nap. I’m sure she’s tired. We have school tomorrow, too.”

“Sweet dreams, ladies.” Charlie pressed a button, shutting the arched window behind him.

“You do charity works?” Tiffany asked. “What organization did you join? The lazy a$s club?”

Jessica looked to her, pushing her glasses. “No. I don’t do such things.”

“Why am I not surprised? You’re always so selfish.”

“You can view things however you like.” Jessica liked it when Tiffany thought wrong of her. It was the only way to make Tiffany talk to her. If she somehow managed to displease Tiffany, that would be their only way to communicate – Tiffany yelling at her.

Tiffany looked at Jessica, annoyed. “I hate that about you.”

“Oh?” Jessica raised her brow and looked at the other girl, “So all these years, you were just pretending?” Jessica knew she didn’t want to know the answer for this. “Oh, well.” Jessica simply shrugged and that gesture made Tiffany more upset. It wasn’t really because of teasing that she did that, but more for Tiffany to not be able to answer.

“I thought I knew you.” Tiffany mumbled, thinking Jessica didn’t hear her, and she just sighed her frustration away.

“You can think of me however you like. It’s not like I told you to think highly of me. I’m just a low-life beneath my designer clothes, right?”

Fanning herself, Tiffany simply ignored Jessica. The day was too long for her and staying outside didn’t really help her.

“Here.” Jessica handed Tiffany a pink handkerchief after she fished it out of her pocket. “Dan told me to give this to you.”

“Dan… had it?”

Jessica shrugged, “Obviously. Do you think that someone other than you would own this… thing?”

“Actually, I do recall that you have severa---“

Jessica tossed it on Tiffany’s lap, “You’re so slow. I don’t want to touch that ugly pink cloth.”

Tiffany simply shot Jessica a nasty look.

Jessica closed her eyes as she faced the window, avoiding Tiffany’s eyes.
