So Much For a First Date

Updated! Ugh, it's such a hassle color coding it XD I should have thought it out better but oh well. I know the stories going really slow but it'll pick up. Please bear with me :)

So I also made a new poster. You can see how crappy it is but it's a lot better than the original >.<

JiAe sat HyunWoo down on his bed while she placed the box on the side table opening it and taking out a few band-aids along with some antiseptic.

“Show me where your cuts are other than your face,” JiAe said examining his face.

“Do you guys not clip your fingernails so that you can use them as a weapon?” HyunWoo asked as he rolled up his sleeves.

“Not every girl uses her nails for a weapon, but they do come in handy,” JiAe chuckled, carefully applying the medicine onto the small cuts on his face.

“Ouch,” HyunWoo flinched away frowning at JiAe.

Frowning back at him, JiAe tugged him back by his collar and put the band-aid onto his face before putting medicine onto the other cuts on his arms.

“What are you going to do about your clothes? They look really expensive,” JiAe asked looking over the rips on his shirt.

“It’s okay, I’ll just buy another one,” HyunWoo took off his vest while JiAe put away the rest of the band-aids and medicine back into the box.

“It’s a pity though,” JiAe sighed. “It was a really nice shirt.” She walked out of the room leaving HyunWoo confused.

“Pity? Doesn’t she own this place?” He thought out loud before he shrugged, going back to changing.

The next morning, MyungSoo woke up early waking JiAe up too. After they finished cleaning themselves up, they both sat in the dining room, politely talking to each other.

“So what did you want?” JiAe asked as she yawned stretching her arms out.

“Sorry, for waking you up so early,” MyungSoo first apologized before continuing, “but I wanted to take MeiXing out today. Just so she can see what Korea is like since she’s been stuck in the house ever since she got here. I think she would like it.” He smiled at the thought before looking up for JiAe’s response.

“Sure, why not,” she excitedly replied. “Do you know where you’re going to bring her?”

Nodding, MyungSoo answered, “I’m planning on taking her on a stroll in the park, then maybe we can do a bit of window shopping if she wants, and finally for lunch I’m going to take her to a restaurant.”

Suddenly, JiAe burst out into laughter confusing MyungSoo, “I’m sorry please don’t be offended, I’m not laughing at you, it’s just something I was thinking.” JiAe took a few deep breaths before saying, “It’s just the problem is, I don’t want to make it awkward by going with you guys, but then if I don’t you won’t be able to communicate, which got me to thinking that it be more like she’s going on a date with me since I’d be the one talking to her. Anyways, ignore my stupid thoughts, I think that’d be great.”

“Okay,” MyungSoo nodded laughing a bit himself.

“So when are you planning to go? It’s six right now,” JiAe asked after looking at the clock on the wall.

“I think we’ll go when she gets up. The past few days she’s been getting up around seven, so we’ll leave around then,” MyungSoo answered thinking.

“Okay, so ‘til then I’m just going to sit in my room. Did you want me to let HyunWoo know?” JiAe asked before leaving the room.

“Um, sure, I think it’d be less awkward,” MyungSoo smiled thankfully staying there to think more.

JiAe walked to HyunWoo’s room and tried to listen to see if he was up or not. Hesitating, she knocked on his door a few times before asking, “HyunWoo, are you up yet?” She stood there and listened as he fell onto the floor groaning, then there she heard a shuffling noise before the door opened a bit as HyunWoo poked his head through it.

“Yeah?” He asked sleepily as he struggled to open his eyes.

“I’m sorry for waking you up, but I was just going to let you know now that MyungSoo’s going to be taking MeiXing out in a bit after she wakes up,” JiAe awkwardly said fiddling with her hands.

“Okay then,  I’m going back to bed then,” HyunWoo yawned closing the door hopping back into bed.

Well, that was awkward, JiAe thought to herself as she hopped up the stairs.

“Oh, MeiXing, you’re awake,” JiAe smiled excitedly when MeiXing walked out of the bathroom.

“Um, yeah, I’m awake, a lot,” MeiXing said confused as she dried her hair off with her towel.

“Sorry about that,” JiAe smiled sheepishly before explaining, “MyungSoo’s going to take you out today, so get ready, we’re leaving soon.”

“We’re?” MeiXing asked out loud before shaking her head saying, “Duh, I can’t talk to him without you.” Walking back to her room she mumbled to herself, “Stupid MeiXing.”

JiAe laughed lightly as she watched MeiXing before she went back to her own room to get ready herself.

“So are you both all ready?” MyungSoo asked as he checked his wallet.

“Are you ready? Do you have everything?” JiAe asked MeiXing.

MeiXing nodded after checking her purse while JiAe checked her small carry around bag.

MyungSoo smiled, “Kaja,” before open opening the door for them.

“Let’s go,” JiAe nodded cheerfully as she led MeiXing to the car. “MyungSoo are you driving?”

“Yep,” MyungSoo smirked as they walked into the garage with the new four cars that had just arrived. Of course to make it easier, the parents chose that it would be easier to just get them all the same type of car, just in different colors, Lamborghinis. MyungSoo and MeiXing owned the Lamborghini Estoque (four doors, four seats), blue and black, while HyunWoo and JiAe owned the Lamborghini Aventador (two doors, two seats), white and silver.

Fancy people, fancy cars, JiAe thought as she took another look at the cars. I should have just requested a Corolla or something. Maybe I should do that, smiling to herself, JiAe got into the back seat while MyungSoo and MeiXing got into the front.

“So where are we going?” MeiXing asked as she put on her seatbelt. JiAe looked at MyungSoo for an answer.

“Do you want me to tell you or do you want me to keep it a secret?” MyungSoo asked as he backed out of the garage.

“Do want him to tell you, or keep it a secret?” JiAe leaned in to talk to her.

“Well, I asked so that he could tell me,” MeiXing answered bluntly.

JiAe looked at MyungSoo, who was focused on the road gnawing on his lip.

“Did you just want to explain to her what I told you this morning?” He asked as he drove out.

“Sure,” JiAe turned back to MeiXing.

“So, first of all, you guys are going to take a nice and relaxing stroll in the park, then you guys will do a little window shopping if you want, and finally he’s going to take you out for lunch. You know so you can get a feel of what Korea is like,” JiAe smiled before adding. “MyungSoo thought that maybe you’d like to go out and get some fresh air after staying locked up in the house since you got here.”

◘ ◘ ◘

“Everyone is out of the house,” HyunWoo excitedly said as he walked down the stairs after checking their rooms. “Party time.”

10 minutes later

“There’s nothing to do!” HyunWoo frustratingly flung himself onto the couch. “What am I supposed to do today?” He sat up pulling his hair angrily. “Should I just go shopping then? But what if I get attacked like last time? Eottoke?” HyunWoo slammed his face into a pillow groaning loudly.

"The cherry blossoms usually bloom around this time of the year but they only last for a few days. It looks like we came at the right time," MyungSoo smiled as the cherry blossoms  flew past them in the wind as they walked in the park.

"The cherry blossoms usually bloom around this time of the year but they only last for a few days," JiAe quickly translated. "We're lucky we got to see them, not many people get this chance and they're beautiful. I should have brought my camera."

"They are beautiful," MeiXing replied quietly, holding her hands behind her back. "So are you into photography?"

"Yeah," JiAe smiled cheerfully as the wind blew through her hair.

"This place is really nice," MeiXing smiled genuinely as she looked around.

"I'm glad you like it," MyungSoo smiled. "There are a lot of other places too, so just let me know... or tell JiAe."

"He's glad you like it. And if you'd like to visit any other places just let him know. Or me," JiAe smiled politely before turning to look at the river, watching the water flow smoothly.

"Do you like to swim?" MeiXing asked. MyungSoo and JiAe both looked at her in confusion, as to who she was talking to . "JiAe meimei."

JiAe noticed MyungSoo sigh before looking back towards the river, holding his hands behind his back too.

"Not really," JiAe sighed. "I can't really swim."

MeiXing nodded before turning to MyungSoo. "Can we go to the beach sometime?"

MyungSoo's face immediately brightened up before he nodded enthusiastically, "Of course! I know some really nice beaches around here. Or, we could go to JeJu island! Yeah that'd be better and more fun."

JiAe stared at him in disbelief, agape, MeiXing staring at her in confusion waiting for her to translate.

                "Jinjja?" JiAe asked, agape.

"Yeah," MyungSoo smiled slightly amused. "Have you never been to JeJu?"

"Are you kidding me? I just finished high school. I've never been anywhere," JiAe laughed cheerfully before turning towards MeiXing to share the exciting news.

"We're going to go to JeJu island!" JiAe squealed, hugging her bag to her chest tightly.

                "Je..Ju?" MeiXing asked confused.

"It's one of the most amazing places here in South Korea," JiAe smiled. "Boys Over Flowers was filmed there!"

"Boys Over Flowers?" MeiXing asked, MyungSoo chuckling on the side.

JiAe frowned before chuckling, "Never mind. But anyway, it's one of the most amazing places ever. You could go to the beach there and I've never been there too so it'd be a new experience for the both of us!"

MeiXing smiled before nodding, "When are we planning to go then?"

                "Whenever," MyungSoo smiled.

"Whenever you want," JiAe grinned widely, trying to keep herself from getting too excited.

"How long?" MeiXing asked, giving MyungSoo a cautious look.

JiAe turned to look at MyungSoo for an answer. He nodded before JiAe smiled, turning back to MeiXing.

"However long you want?" JiAe shrugged, a wide smile still playing on her lips.

"Really?" MeiXing asked surprised. "Even if it was for a week?"

"We're not high school students anymore. We can do whatever we want," MyungSoo grinned as he led them towards a park bench. "I'll get us some drinks."

JiAe nodded before sitting down on the bench, leading MeiXing before she translated what MyungSoo had just said.

"So what do you think so far? I mean even though the date kind of just started," JiAe asked before knocking herself in the head. "Wow, I sound like I'm the one taking you out on the date."

MeiXing laughed before shaking her head, "It's going good so far."

                "Just good?" JiAe asked.

"Like I said before. Honestly, I'm not interested in him or this arranged marriage at all," MeiXing sighed, JiAe finding herself looking at MyungSoo buying their drinks at a stand nearby.

Suddenly, MeiXing's phone rang, loudly, a loud and annoying voice trying to sound cute letting her know it was a phone call.

"Ugh, I really need to change his ringtone," MeiXing rolled her eyes before picking up her phone. "What?"

JiAe sighed before looking around the park, admiring the cherry blossoms slowly floating through the air as the wind carried it. Sighing again, she slouched over as she realized what she was doing with her life. Translating a date for two people she didn't even know and would be living with for how long.

"What? Right now? What do you mean? Why didn't mom tell me? She told you? She told you to tell me but you didn't am I right? Seriously, HyunWoo, I ask myself so many times how I live knowing that you're my brother. Oh, shut up," MeiXing groaned before nodding her head. "I know, I know, I'll tell him. We'll be on our way."

JiAe looked at MeiXing confused before asking, "What's wrong? Did something come up?"

MeiXing sighed before nodding, "Yeah, apparently my Korean teacher was coming today and my lessons started today, HyunWoo just never bothered to let any of us know. Or as he likes to say it, forgot."

"So that means that the date gets cut short," JiAe frowned. She was excited to go out for the day, even though  it meant translating the entire date for the two of them.

"So what'd I miss?" MyungSoo cheerfully asked as he finally returned, handing MeiXing and JiAe their drinks.

JiAe frowned before replying, "Mianhe MyungSoo-sshi, but apparently, today was the day that MeiXing's lessons started. Her Korean instructor is already there, back at home, waiting for MeiXing.

MyungSoo sighed before shrugging, "I can't do anything about it but I had a nice time even though we were just walking in the park. Besides, we're going to have a whole week at JeJu island to make up for it."

JiAe nodded before translating for MeiXing, the both of them following MyungSoo as he led them back to his car.
