Shinyeong -

" Omma..can I not go to school today?" I fake-coughed.

Omma looked at me weirdly. " Honey, you were perfectly fine yesterday. How did you get sick so quickly?"

Uhh...I tried thinking of excuses but all of them sounded preposterous. I finally settled on one.  " I -cough- went out -cough- without a jacket."

She rolled her eyes. " Oh, please. Summer hasn't ended yet and at night it's not even cold."

Darn. I smiled nervously. She looked around my room, sighed, and uncrossed her arms. " Well, if you really don't want to go...I guess I'll just inform the school."

I leaped from my bed and hugged her. " Gomawo, omma! Saranghae, saranghae, saranghae!"

" But you better go to school tomorrow!" she said as she hugged me back.

Double darn. But oh well, at least one day I'm off! Omma left my room as I was thinking of all the fun things I could do today. Just then I heard my phone go on.

I danced and sung a bit to my ringtone before I picked up.

Luhan practically yelled when I answered. " YAH WHERE ARE YOU KIM SHINYEONG THE BELL'S GONNA RING ANY MINUTE NOW IM STILL WAITING FOR YOU AT THE MAIN GATE OF THE SCHOOL DON'T TELL ME YOU DITCHED YOUR BEST FRIEND THAT YOU LOVE SO MUCH?!?!"

I bawled, laughing so hard at his outburst. " Hehe~ Don't worry, go right ahead don't wait for me. I'm not going today and mianhaeyo, just don't feel like going today."

He groaned and said, " Okay but you better be at your place 'cause I'm coming over after school."

" Yussh I will!" I happily said, and hung up before he could say any other negative things to make me feel guilty for leaving him.

I got up from my bed and shuffled in my Bambi slippers to my closet.. I slipped on a simple light orange shirt with shorts. Not going anywhere special today, so why bother dressing up?

" Annyeong, Shinyeongie!!!"

" Halmoni~ " I greeted back. She bear-hugged me and kissed me on the cheek.

I decided to take a bus to my grandma's house to visit. I didn't want to attract attention that a random limo came around in a quiet, small neighborhood.

" Come on in, sweetheart!"

We both walked into her neat and simple house. As I looked around, I knew one word to describe her place. Comfortable. Grandma had a talent for blending in stuff with different things. Back then she used to be an interior designer, a very successful one. I admit, she still has the pizazz. Like how she always says, " Simplicity is the best."

She gestured me to a creamy sofa. " Sit there, sweetie. I'll be right back~"

I gave her an OK sign with my fingers and sat down. It reminded me of a marshmallow. I bounced on it and laughed to myself.

At the mini table beside, a picture caught my attention.

I examined it. Oh yeah! That's me when I was a little girl! Wait, but who's that boy? And why are we kissing?!

A million thoughts were running through my head when I heard Halmoni returning.

" Shinyeong-ah!~ Eat them while they're still warm," she said as she placed the tray down on the coffee table.

" Halmoni?"

" Yes, sweetie?"

I pointed to the picture. " Who's that?"

" Oh!" She went over to the picture and bent down to take a better look. She put on her glasses and her face lit up. " Ahhahah! Shinyeongie, that's you when you were little. You are still so cute."

I was about to say that I already knew when a waft of chocolate chip cookies came to my nose. I forgot all about the boy in the picture.

I my lips and reached for the biggest one. Halmoni must've seen my delighted face as I chewed. " It's good, hm?"

" They're the best!"

She smiled widely and grabbed one for herself too.

Baekhyun -

I took my time walking after school. I always did. I never go to my real house, where my abusive dad lives. Just thinking about him made my permanent scars ache. What a jerkface.

I don't go straight away to Kyungsoo's place either. He works part-time at a bookstore after school. Right next door to Kai, who works in Starbucks.

I sighed and ran my hand through my hair.

So bored. I'll just walk around until I feel even more bored.

Then I heard some giggling behind me. I recognized the two school uniforms.

Oh god. What are they called again? Oh right, fangirls.

" Hehehe oppa, you are very hot~" the very huge one purred.

Disgusting.

" I want you to sign my so bad! Please, yeah?!" the other one said.

They were so ugly. Big noses and hairy legs toppled with pimply faces. And their cackly voices didn't help either.

" Haha, sorry. I can't I gotta go home." I lied.

The huge one slowly walked closer to me. " Oppa, how 'bout I follow you?~ I can teach you some fun things at your place~"

The other girl growled and punched her. I was watching for a few seconds until I just rolled my eyes and slipped away from them silently.

I entered an alley. I put my hands on my pocket and suddeny I felt like I entered another world.

The road was dark and new-looking, all the flowers and trees were healthy-looking, and a huge nice mansion was in the middle of it all.

Not to mention it was peaceful.

I need a nap...maybe I'll just sleep on this smooth, smooth road.

But then I spotted two familiar faces. Luhan and Shinyeong. They were enjoying themselves by eating popsicles.

" I have to go now, Shinyeong-ah! Bye bye!"

" Bye Baby Lulu~"

Luhan put his arms around her waist and hugged her. I saw her blush and shook his arms off.

I felt a twisting feeling inside of me.

You are jealous.

What? Stupid conscience. I hit my head and walked away, back into the alley and onto the main road.
